DO I NEED AN APPLE PENCIL?
Yes. To enjoy all the functions of Shapr3D, you need an iPad Pro and an Apple Pencil. Other styluses are not going work.
If you don’t have an Apple Pencil, Shapr3D works only as a CAD viewer. You can showcase and explore modeling work on the go, but you won’t be able to create or edit designs.

What's New in Version 2.2.3
What's new? Colors! Yay!
Now you can set the color of any shape. It works on imported models too!
There's also an option to set the default color for new shapes. All new items will use the color defined by you, instead of grey.
Fixed an issue in the sweep tool that made it fail in some cases.

CAD on iPad!
Forget the bad ratings from people that are mad that this is for the iPad Pro only. It's 3D modeling on an iPad! You need an iPad Pro and an Apple Pencil. I've only played with it for a few hours, but so far I like it. I haven't found out how to set dimensions to features from other feature, like a hole dimensioned from two edges. I hope this feature is is here. If not, I will still use it, but probably not buy the pro version. Either way, I'm really glad this app is here and look forward to future enhancements. 3D creation, editing, and consumption needs to move from expensive workstations to portable tablets. Check out "BILT" for an app delivering interactive 3D assembly instructions to consumers. I put my Weber grill together with it and the 3D experience was awesome. These 3D apps are changing the way we design and deliver products! Great job guys ushering in the portable 3D future!

I am a professional design engineer and owner of a personal home 3D printer. I never review anything, however, this as a tool to throw things down on the go is incredible, cleaver, powerful and fun! Very well done guys!
Update - the stl export (on free version) isn't good. It looks good once exported but when I use slic3r it's all kinds of messed up! :( I want to love this but I need to know it works before purchase. Also a missing feature that is desirable is text and the ability to extrude text shapes....

I didn't get to do this cool app because I have a ipad air... I gave it five stars because I think is has potential, the only thing I want to say is that I want you to find a way to have it be on other devices too. It would be much more enjoyable and get way more reviews if there were more devices that this app is on. I think a lot of people agree with me👍😊
