Constantly Needs reinstalling

Have Nomorobo on my home landline and it works great. The iPhone version not so much. Has to be uninstalled and reinstalled daily, sometimes multiple times daily. It stops blocking known robocalls calls, will not update the blacklist (returns an error) and the iPhone recent call log that previously flagged reported robocalls loses the red Nomorobo indication.
I have written to Nomorobo about this and was told it’s a known issue that they have reported to Apple. The current “fix” as stated by Nomorobo is to uninstall and reinstall. That wouldn’t be bad if it happened once, but daily? You find out it’s not working (daily) after a call that should of been blocked rings your iPhone. It defeats the purpose of having an app that is supposed to keep these annoying calls silenced. Worse, Nomorobo charges a monthly fee for an app they know has problems working on an iPhone. Why not suspend charging customers a monthly fee until the problem is fixed?
If Nomorobo did that, I would most likely tough it out while they work a fix. I don’t see that happening, so most likely will cancel my subscription at the end of the month and try another app.

1 Week In, and...

So, I’m one week into my free trial with Nomorobo; and frankly, I’m not all that impressed. Let’s be honest, in the last week Nomorobo has worked- managing to block 4 incoming phone calls. Unfortunately, in that same timeframe I have received a whopping 20 phone calls from robo-collers.

During this time I logged into the app, in order to make sure that the block lists were updated. I also took the time to register fake phone calls (I have a real problem with this- if I’m telling your company which numbers to block, then I should be the one getting paid).

Look, no one I know receives anywhere near as many robo calls as I do on daily basis. To put this in perspective, 20 phony incoming calls is a good week for me. So when I sought out a trial for this app, I had high expectations. But Nomorobo simply isn’t delivering on its promise. I’m going to give it another week, but based on this initial performance, it is unlikely that I will commit to a subscription- Nomorobo simply isn’t worth it right now.

iPhone app needs more development

I got Nomorobo at my boss’ recommendation for my home phone several years ago. I found it very effective so purchased the iPhone app. Unfortunately it does not work. One option is to send calls directly to voice mail but this function does not work. Nomorobo should put a disclaimer to IPhone if they are unable to get this function working.

Having the app for about a month now it appears to identify few if any spam calls whatsoever. The only call it identified for me was a repeat spam caller that I reported to Nomorobo myself. Unfortunately the call still rings through because of the apps inability to forward to voice mail mentioned earlier. I therefore am blocking the calls directly through the iPhone’s Apple contacts app.

I’ve continued to report all spam calls within the Nomorobo app to assist them to improve the service. Since many of the calls I receive are already identified by White Pages as spam I am unsure why the Nomorobo app is unable to screen them.
