Attractive app and good workout for busy professionals
The app itself is attractive and easy to use. I love the videos of each exercise, they help to guide me do what I need to. The sets themselves are fun and my trainer is awesome.
The user interface is intuitive, easy to use. I'd like to suggest to the developers two proposals which would help round out the design. 1: for time/bases sets, you should build a timer right into the app (along with a 3 second prep countdown). I either have to twist my kneck to view my gyms clock or awkwardly set a timer in my phone. Having it built-in will help. 2: give a rough estimate for how the full workout will take. Just add up all the approximate times and tell me how much time to budget. It doesn't have to be exact; is the workout 20 minutes or 40? That will really help me budget my time.
I'll admit to being a beginner. I did trainer-led workouts before but they've always been cookie cutter and got too hard too fast and you lose interest really quickly. I'm really liking this app and my coach. Let's go!
Just what I needed to keep me on track
This app is super helpful. I’ve been trying to establish a reliable fitness routine for years, and have never been able to settle into anything consistent. I just finished my fourth week on the app, and have never been more excited about my fitness!
The accountability factor is the greatest benefit that I anticipated from the app, but my trainer, Ryan, is super helpful for more than just that. It’s really nice to have someone you can rely on to set you up with a workout to fit your goals, answer any fitness and nutrition-related questions, and also provide you with tips on small ways that you can improve in your fitness journey.
Another notable feature that I didn’t expect but have found super helpful is the promise function. This is an excellent way to work on little habits day by day. It’s not overwhelming, and really helps you ease into positive behavior change.
I’ve always wanted a personal trainer, but never thought I could afford it. Ladder is a great deal for the services you get out of it. My fitness goals have always felt unattainable, but now I’m confident that I can not only meet, but exceed my goals!

LOST 31 POUNDS in 4 months!!
This has been the best fitness app I have ever downloaded. I love sports, but hate working out in a gym. I can normally get into the routine for 2 months maximum, and then I stop going because I don’t really see results, and get discouraged.
I’ve always known that a trainer would be great for me because it would hold me accountable, etc, but what student can afford $30 for a single 30 minute workout?
Ladder has been phenomenal because my coach is there to genuinely tailor the workouts to what my end goal is. Unlike other apps, it’s not just entering “Lose Weight” into a survey box that generates a preset workout for everyone who selects that answer. If I don’t like an exercise, workout is too long, or I doesn’t have the equipment, I can get my coach to swap it out for something right away. Incredible.
I’ve been going to the gym consistently for 4 months now, and I genuinely enjoy the gym at this point. I finally I notice the difference, and people around me have too. I’ve gone from 225 lbs. to 194 in only 4 months!! There is no better return on investment than Ladder if you’re looking for a fitness app that actually works.
