Joyful app for a joyful adventure
I love this app! I have about five other pregnancy apps as well, and this one is my favorite. Granted, it is not the most informative of all of my apps, but it is the most fun. I love that it syncs with HiDaddy! My husband loves hi daddy! He is always extremely busy and does not have the time or interest to peruse all of the apps the way I do. He loves the daily nugget in such a cute, fun format, and he loves that he can see how I’m feeling with the emotion tracker. I do wish the emotion tracker would send a notification, but it’s fantastic.
To the people who have posted negative reviews saying that it’s silly or there’s not enough information what complaining that you have to pay for high daddy or hi baby… This is meant to be a fun app and a fun time in your life with the added benefit of being informative. The cost is super minimal in the developers have to charge to get paid to keep improving the app. The baby is going to be way more expensive than the less than five dollar cost for the related apps.
Developers, I sure wish you would make a Hi big Brother/hi big sister app. I have been searching and searching for something for my tween daughter and this is exactly what I’m looking for but I wish you could say hi big sis instead of HiMommy! or HiDaddy!
Not single-parent friendly
I liked the simple format of this app versus others that I’ve seen but every single message has a comment about “dad” literally every single day. I understand that the typical family includes two parent families, but families are becoming more and more diverse with same-sex parents, and single montherhood. If I had the option to remove those comments, I may have considered keeping the app, but for a mom who is very excited to be having her own baby, despite it being a product of an abusive relationship, it’s very upsetting to be constantly reminded that someone is “missing” from the picture.
Watch complication does not work
I tried to contact the developer but there was not a way to do so on the website so here I am. The app is alright- I do enjoy the little daily reminders even though some are pretty silly. I mostly got the app so I could see a tracker on my Apple Watch with my pregnancy progress. I downloaded the app at 17 weeks and I am now 19 weeks and the 17 has stayed on the complication for 2 weeks. If I tap it I can see the actual progress but it should be adjusting automatically on the watch face without opening the app itself.
