Fun! Just needs a few tweaks.

I decided to learn Gin Rummy via this game. It’s fun! The interface works well and the graphics are really good with nice animations for such a simple game. A big improvement would be the option to enable manual arrangement of cards rather than always auto-arranging.

While the rules are mostly clear, the dev forgets to clarify that Aces in this game can only be used as low cards, not high (so runs with an Ace have to be A-2-3, not Q-K-A). The last page of the in-game rules is misleading because the Ace is listed with the face cards as having a value of “10” rather than the correct value of “1” (but note that the game does, in fact, score correctly).

Nice setup but too easy (free version)

I wonder if buying the upgraded version with three difficulties provides a challenge. The basic free version is one I win every almost time. Sometimes 100 to 0. Nice interface.

It doesn't seem the deck gets shuffled very well, in the beginning I always see high cards getting discarded, and the opponent always collects low cards. So gameplay is repetitious and predictable. Another sticking point for me is the way cards get rearranged when I pick up a card, often that is NOT the way I want the cards arranged but there is control for that.

Good point: it is good to learn gin rummy with.

It's "0k"

....but there are better gin rummy apps available. While it's ok that the cards are arranged, I'd like to be able to change the app's suggested arrangement. Also, I'd like the deadwood # to always show. This app does play nicely, but a few additional subtle features would make it better.

I’ve not kept records, but it totally seems like it’s easier to be dealt high cards, then low cards, and that is too often the next dealt or handed off card bear a stark similarity to my last discard.

I’d really like a strong certification of fairness by the developer.
