Stuck shopping cart
I am really not an app person, but I decided to give this a try because I was not able to use a computer and I wanted to take advantage of an event sale. Easy download and very simple to figure out the basic functionality. Regarding the 15 minute time limit that has absolutely nothing to do with the app. If you go to the website you still have only 15 minutes to check out or you potentially lose the items in your shopping cart.
My complaint is that after adding approximately six items I went to check out. It kept telling me one or more items is no longer available. I scroll repeatedly through my shopping cart rather frantically as I know my time limit is expiring soon. No where can I see that one of the items is no longer available. I repeatedly tried to check out and I'm told the same thing. One or more of your items is no longer available. I go back to each item click on it and look to see if it's available. It shows everything I have is available so I have no idea which one to delete. I don't want to delete them all and start all over again and risk not being able to get my stuff.
I resort to going to the actual website, login, find my shopping cart, go to check out ,and automatically the item which was indeed no longer available is deleted. Boom! Check out complete.
This is a major program issue with the app and they need to fix it
I'm done with hautelook
I've been shopping on hautelook since 2013 and at first it was the best site/app ever. I never liked the free shipping at $100 especially when other sites have free shipping on all orders and some others have free shipping at $29. But I always tried to make my order over $100. I don't like shopping in the home section because most orders aren't qualified for free shipping anyway. Aside from all of that, hautelook has been the MOST disappointing site/app I've used lately. I ordered three dresses for my baby (one was for a Christmas photo shoot), one came with two holes in it and the other two never came at all. Customer service offered me a "sorry". 11 days after I placed another order in which I received an email about 6 weeks after just saying that could no longer fulfill the order. Customer service offered me another "sorry". I ordered 5 gifts before Christmas that were supposed to arrive in time but also never arrived and customer service couldn't even locate the items. Again they offered a "sorry". 7 days after that I ordered 2 bed sheets and they both came with the packages ripped open. One of them wasn't even what I ordered. And the red from the pattern made most of the white turn pink. And my final order cannot be located at this time. I'm DONE with hautelook. And so are all the people I referred because they are also having issues.
Not Nordstrom Customer Service
It’s convenient if you’re buying brands you know but they have a lot of unknown brands and the quality shows. Shipping is the highest of any other places I shop online. So cost savings is sometimes minimal. Customer service is pretty much non existent. There are times I’ve spent over an hour on hold. Nov & Dec it’s about 2hrs
They’ve changed their return policy a couple of times. Currently it is 45 days They will not make any exceptions even on defective products. The written policy says they can accept returns over the timeframe at their discretion at 50% disc. But the stores will not comply. Without knowing that they changed their policy I’ve gotten stuck w/unusable merchandise a couple of times. I’m disabled & returns aren’t easy. Many orders take a month to arrive so idk when the clock starts ticking for returns. I’d say customer service is at about a Target/Walmart
The good news is that I think twice before buying anything online or at Nordstrom rack.
