The locations of the heavenly bodies are just a touch away - see where in the zodiac the Sun, Moon and visible planets are, sunrise/sunset times (including twilights). Drag the Sun to "turn back time" (or move the zodiac to watch the years fly by), or set a specific date/time to see conditions at other times. Switch to the armillary to get the more detailed star map of the heavens, or the ephemeris to get even more detailed information about exact locations and details. And Astromo uses the devices location to know exactly where you are for its calculations, so you'll always have the most accurate information.
Coming in Next Version (Submitted 26 Oct):
- Shake to Undo date/time changes (3.x required)
- Tap & Hold to bring up crosshairs to identify stars/coordinates in armillary views
- Constellation boundaries displayable
- Added Messier objects
What's New in Version 2.5
- universal iPad support
I think this app is wonderful. Easy to use and wonderful graphics. I have but 1 request and that is you change the date and time changer so that the time can be changed in increments of 1 minute. That's important. A lot of things can happen within the 5 minute blocks that are being used now. Do that and I give this app 5 stars!! Thank you
This app is great, but...
It needs to have an overlay to "correct" to the tropical zodiac. I know I know, that's not something a science minded person would want. I'm well versed in science and more narrative forms of becoming. So put the tropical zodiac in. You'll make more money.
Otherwise, very very good.
