Customer Reviews

Really needs some repair work and updates added

If I go to add a sighting, I have to tap like crazy for many of each of the fields. I can't label my location, share my sightings or add to list. The Map doesn't properly geolocate when I put the pin at if it is a specific location like a wetland or a state park.

My biggest complaint, the search is lousy, if I know nothing about the species, I can't get the app to help me. It's expected that you know a name or some other information. Please tell me how I'm supposed to use this in the field to identify a bird or butterfly? I would direct the app designers to the Merlin app to see how a good search is done.

Now the good, the information in the app is very detailed and has really nice, but not great photos of many species. It's not a bad app, not by a long shot, and worth the money, but until they fix some of the critical issues I can't recommend it to others at this time.

App review

All my Audubon apps are wonderful the one thing that would improve them is if we could take a picture of a bird, tree, lizard, or bug... & sent it to the website for identification kind of photo I.D.
Well after I got a new phone and the new update a lot of my sightings were missing and a lot of the ones that were still there were doubled, tripled up to 5 times couldn't delete the extras & when I went to enter the missing ones even though I changed the date when I entered it it was posted as the current date

The Complete Bird App

I am not a birder, but I do use this app to occasionally identify a bird. It has everything I need, including pictures, range, description, and even sound recordings of each North American bird. The app is easy to use and navigate. There are many features I haven't used, but - despite its gigantic size - I wouldn't dream of deleting this app. Also, if you gave a cat, you can have some fun with the bird sounds.
