Toggle for disabling proximity sensor for H8i and H9i
Option for initiating pairing of Beoremote One and Essence via app
Updated design for basic player controls (volume, play/pause, next/previous)
Updated design for music and radio pages (when Beolink is enabled)

Ratings and Reviews
Works great for H9i headphones
The app offers good functionality for the Beoplay H9i headphones. It allows for custom mixing of EQ settings and saving them as favorites.
It lets you directly toggle the Active Noise cancellation and pass through features from the app, though the gestures on the headphones are typically what I use.
Applied the software update with no issues and now have the Proximity Sensor toggle in the app as well. It was possible to set it on the headphones themselves but did require a specific button combo, so the in app control is welcome. I rarely have the need for it, as the proximity sensor doesn’t usually give me an issue, but it can come in handy when I need to leave one earphone off.
All in all, the app has all the functionality I need to go with the headphones, and the headphones themselves are wonderful.
No proximity sensor toggle
The new version claims to offer a toggle for the buggy proximity sensor, but as other reviews have pointed out, none is apparent in the UI. Deleting and reinstalling the app does not have any effect, despite claims that it resolves the issue.
When the toggle does finally appear it will be welcome, as the current process for disabling the sensor via touch controls is finicky.
Overall the app offers only minimal functionality and a confusing interface. For example, if the current version of my H9i’s firmware is 5.0.4, why does the app report it as 5.0.6? And why is there no way to check for an update?

We would like to thank you very much for your honest and detailed feedback. For the toggle button issue, we are sorry that it seems to be missing. We have discovered that the button will appear only when the new update for the H9i/H8i rolls out. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and please rest assured that our team is working on fixing this issue now.
For the issue with software updates, you can find this in the Software button under Settings. If there are no updates, then it won't show any updates available on the screen.

Why on earth do I need to reconnect my speakers in a group in the multiroom function many times a day? That is so frustrating. It would be so simple to just be able to save groups. Or even just have a possibility of saving your preferred setting. Btw the new update is slow as hell wich makes this even more frustrating. I now recommend the Sonos speakers when asked because their app is so superior to this one.
