BanjoChords is a full featured banjo chord dictionary. It provides instant access to thousands of chords in all 12 keys (it really does, swipe left and right). Multiple voicing are available for each chord up and down the neck. Swipe left and right to change positions. Each chord can also be heard either as a chord or individual notes to double check your fingering (just hit the fret dots or strings). Left or right hand playing is supported.
Seven tuning are available. Request others if you have a favorite that is missing:
- Open G: D G B D
- Standard C: C G D B
- Open C: C G C E
- Open D: D F# A D
- Tenor: CGCG
- Tenor: GDAE
- Tenor: CGDA
A chord search function also lets you find chords from known fingerings. This is useful if you see someone playing a chord and you don't know what it is. Here is how to use the chord search function:
- Swipe left or right to move up and down the neck.
- Tap a fret to include it in the chord
- Tap it again to remove it
- Tap the nut to exclude that string
- Tap again to include the string
Works with iPod Touch, iPhone (all models), and iPad.
What's New in Version 2.1
Added tenor banjo tunings:
Don't listen to the complaints, they just don't know how to use it. But it's awesome and the way you get access to the full fret bored is by sliding you finger across the bored
Gave it one star because i had to in order to post review but they deserve none! I tried support to request a different tuning as they invite you to do. What I got was a page telling me the web address & my ip #. So now I have an app that doesn't support my tuning and no contact w/the company. And this was a steep costing app for so little in return
