Doesn't have all online features
Let me start, by saying, I'm a Preferred Rewards member and have been with Bank of America for over ten years! I have changed my review to reflect the new changes. Good job Bank of America! So many improvements! I love that I can access and track my FICO score, I can redeem my cash rewards (so useful!) BUT I give it four stars because the new "help" button at the top makes pages load much slower unfortunately. Button looks nice but it interferes with the speed of the app which I was thrilled with before this addition. I do wish the budgeting tools on Bank of America Online were available through Smartphone though. It's also slightly disappointing that I can't access my checking account statements from the past. This feature is available in the credit card section, wish it was available in the checking and saving account. Bank of America Online has tons of budgeting tools which are not available through smartphone (even using mobile web). These resources are so VALUABLE and I very Much wish they could be available for everyone. More and more people are smartphones exclusively for Internet. I'd hate for them to miss out on all the amazing and incredibly helpful features! Also, someone mentioned something down below. Please do NOT change order of purchases!!! It makes so much more sense to see recent purchases first!!
This app has progressed and progressed!
I used to bank with Chase and Bank of America consecutively and I loved both, but honestly the customer service kept me with Bank of America and this app just kept getting better and better. It does its job very well and I have no issues with any of its supplied functions. Now having said all that, the only thing I wish they would update or change, though it's a minor thing that isn't a flaw, is that they would include the ability to order new cards or "replacements" via the app as it is just more convenient that way instead of calling them just to ask them to send you another card, but that's it! Love the app, keep up the great work!
Good App Used To Be Great
Two big issues with the newest version of the app: First there's too long of a delay upon startup. It shows the red BOA logo screen for a long time before finally reaching the login screen. I don't know if it's freezing or is just that slow. But it didn't used to happen before the big update. Second, WHY would YOU only show me up to four transactions when I tap on one of my accounts? Eliminate the unnecessary step of also having to tap "view all transactions" and just SHOW ALL transactions. That's why I tapped on the account. Overall I feel you have to push too many buttons to do the things I used to do (2 step actions now take 4-5 steps). The workflow needs tightening up. But at least things work like they're supposed to when you actually get to that screen.
