Fun, Addictive, and Challenging!

I waited so long for BINR and I got what I expected; awesome gameplay. I was addicted fast, and I’m glad the game doesn’t try to shove ads down your throat or in-app purchases every five seconds like most runner type games I’ve seen. The gameplay is challenging, and it certainly left me a bit frustrated, but still intrigued. I hope we get more bosses and enemies in the future, but right now I think the game has good mechanics, although the reactions can sometimes fall flat. When going from side to side, sometimes it can still gain damage or an item when I’ve already dodged it. There’s also a couple more bugs, but that is certainly expected from a game that’s just been released. I hope these glitches are worked out in the future! Another thing I love is that it’s not hard to get cans of soup, so you don’t feel inclined to buy the in-game currency because it’s easy to obtain. A lot of games use this to their advantage and make it harder to get currency to pressure their customers into buying it. All around, first impressions are great! Graphics and gameplay are good, but need a little fine tuning, and the mechanics are balanced really well for a new game. Great job!

Joey Drew Studios & Meatly has done it again!

Bendy in Nightmare Run has just released, and...I can’t really say much about what hasn’t been already said about this game. It has a wonderful 1920’s-30’s aesthetic, down from the background music to the rubber hose animation of the boss and runner. Characters are adorable, though there are only three (which is great, small diversity is simple but effective in the game’s case). The gameplay is similar to a mix of Cuphead and the runner games, where the goal is to run as far as you can, collect as much bacon soup as possible, while you battle a boss and it’s goons. Each “cartoon” has a difficulty that builds up quite quickly from each act, making it a rather challenging game (but that’s a good thing, makes the enjoyment of the game last longer). I think the most wonderful thing about the game would be the fact they don’t constantly shove messages or blocks down your throat to buy currency, which gives huge respect for the devs as well. Overall, the game is definitely no run-of-the-mill game and shows that a lot of passion and love has been put into it. Highly recommend to anyone who loves a good challenge and/or is a Bendy fan!

Surprisingly great game

I expected it to be just another subway surfer endless runner but I was wrong. Every level you play is a boss fight, each harder than the last. The controls are fairly similar to subway surfers. The twist is that you are running AWAY from a giant monster and you are trying to hurt it to make it go away (I wont say kill cause you don’t). You pick up weapons to throw at the boss, some dealing more damage, and slowly knock off it’s health. Each level has a set of optional objectives that can keep you going at the same boss fight for so long if you are trying to 100% complete it. The style of the game is excellent, Im a sucker for black and white old cartoony style. The sound design is good as well, with the main menu music sounding like a record played through an old gramophone and the in game sound effects having that old cartoon style. There is customization in the game which can give you reason to get as much in game currency (or bacon soup) as you can to purchase these. So far I have enjoyed this game, and if you like boss rush/endless runner games then this is for you. Great job developers! Keep up the good work!
