What's New in Version 4.5
Finally! A brand new update for iOS 7 including an all-new user interface that matches the BGR.com website and works beautifully with iOS 7. Push notifications are enabled in this version so you can always keep up with the latest breaking stories, and we have redone the app from the ground up, in addition to squashing more bugs than Timon & Pumbaa.
This App has lost any value
I have used this app for years! I enjoy the information from the blog and read articles several times each day to stay up to date. Earlier this year the app began only showing articles that were less than 12 hours old which wasn't a big issue for me as I check so frequently that I rarely missed anything. But starting today there is a bug with the ads on the app and they are automatically taking you out of the to either the App Store for apps that are being advertised or to safari if it's an ad for a website. You only get about 15 seconds on the article before it redirects you so you can't even read a full article. Seriously BGR either remove the app from the App Store or maintain it. Do not leave your readers with such a bad taste in their mouth.
You have only updated your app twice since 2011. The last update was more than a year ago. New devices have been released (as you likely may know...!) and an update to the usability and aesthetics of this app is sorely needed. Update: OMG BGR IT'S 2017, and has been more than three years since your last update. I'm so done. I'll be reading all the other publications and refuse to click on any of your news articles going forward.
I've written to them multiple times and they refuse to respond, even on Twitter. Avoid BGR at all costs. I have been reading BGR since the old days when it first came out and was just a blog. Now, they don't even care anymore.
Poor app for a website that specializes in tech
There are numerous problems with this app. First, at the moment you can't view any of the posts. Second you can only go back so far in timeline. Third, there is no way to save stories to your Reading list or otherwise bookmark them. You do have to email you them to yourself or go over to the website, which defeats the point of having an app. And an odd design choice, you can't slide left or right to switch the next story. Instead you have to use arrow keys at the bottom
