BioClock Fertility & Pregnancy Calculator

BioClock is a simple and easy to use, fertility & pregnancy calculator. Designed by an ObGyn for women themselves, it is powerful and accurate enough to be the choice for many obstetricians and midwives.

If you are pregnant, you can easily and accurately calculate your own due date from your last period, conception date, or early dating ultrasound. You can also simply enter the due date your doctor has assigned. Once one parameter is entered, the others are calculated and displayed on the main screen. For example, you can enter your due date and see when your last period likely was or when you likely conceived.

The precise gestational age of your baby is displayed clearly. The unique “Gestational Age and Date interface” is one of the highlights of this application. Using it, you can easily change either the “date” or “gestational age” and instantly see the corresponding “gestational age” or “date.” This is useful in determining how far along you will be on certain dates, or when you should go for certain tests.

The due date calendar displays your estimate due date, but more importantly, your “due date range.” Only 5% of babies are born on the assigned due date. However, the majority of women go into labor naturally within a “due date range” of 10 days on either side. Don’t plan on delivering on your due date and you wont be disappointed.

If you are not pregnant, the features of this application are utilized by entering your last menstrual period and cycle length. This is not a menstrual tracker. For example, you cannot track irregular cycles from month to month, nor keep track of (or display) the actual days of bleeding you have each month.

If you are PLANING A PREGNANCY, you can use the main screen to determine when you should try and get pregnant to have your baby at a certain time.

If you are TRYING TO GET PREGNANT, the fertility calendar can help improve your chances of getting pregnant by suggesting the best times of your cycle to be intimate. Knowing your fertile days can help avoid an unplanned pregnancy.

If your cycles are IRREGULAR, then the cycle days calendar is useful. This uses your last menstrual period and counts forwards. It is used to keep track of how long your cycle actually is, or if you need to take medication (fertility drugs) or have blood tests done on certain days of your cycle. For example, based on your last period, you can tell at a glance when day 28 or 32 actually is.

If you simply want to PREDICT FUTURE MENSTRUAL CYCLES and your cycles are fairly regular, then the fertility calendar can help. This predicts and displays the next few months in an easy to view calendar.

Keep in mind that the displayed dates are based on a 28 day cycle by default and therefore may not be accurate if your cycle varies. Cycle length can vary from women to women and from month to month. Therefore, always modify your average cycle length if it is not 28 days. Luteal phase length is set at 14 days, which is the average length for most women.

For your protection it contains optional password security and memory features. If utilized, your due date and current gestational age is automatically displayed each time you open the application.

BioClock is highly accurate, yet simple and easy to use. You will quickly discover that its unique features, ease of use, and accuracy are not found in other pregnancy calculators. It was designed by an ObGyn and includes what pregnant patients, and patients trying to get pregnant, asked for and used frequently. It has been tested and modified in response to feedback from hundreds of patients.

Great app for professionals and patients

I was surprised to read some of the negative reviews as I use this app everyday in my midwife practice and love it. May clients love it as well. You simply enter either LMP, conception, due date, or ultrasound dates; and the others are calculated and displayed. My favourite feature is the area at the bottom of main screen where you can change the date or gestational age, and see the corresponding date or age instantly. I love that feature if I need to know when my client will be 28 weeks or how many weeks she will be on a certain date. This is accurate to the day and much easier and quicker than my old wheel. I like the "due date range" display so clients know the baby comes when mother nature intended, not always on your due date. It's a nice app that runs well on my new shiny iPhone 4!!

Good medical preg calc!

I'm a midwife. Overall good app. You can tell it's written by an ObGyn as it's designed for what I use everyday day. I like the main screen toggle feature as often I want to know how far along a client will be on a certain day, or the opposite, for example, what day I should book the 19 week ultrasound. The calendars are very clear and helpful. I like the due date range concept. It's useful to have the ability to change the cycle length and have the new dates display instantly. A few docs downloaded it at the hospital and are using it now. I have three other similar apps. This one, so far, is more user friendly and does what I need well.

Pretty useless

My hubby and I are trying to conceive and once a month I enter my last menstrual period to see when I'll be due if I get pregnant. I also know my preferred months of conception based on the due dates this app provides. There is an option to input your cycle length but I'd advise you to leave it at 28 because your ob-gyn will use 28 days no matter what, so changing it on here will only confuse you, even if the due date is only off by a few days. This app could stand to be a bit cheaper since it's not used regularly but other than that, it is helpful. The PROBLEM is that you could look up the info provided here for free online and it makes you enter your info each time which you also do for free online! Not worth $$$ when you can do all of this for free!
