BrewControl is the coffee app for your iPhone. Why try to figure out how much water you need for a given amount of coffee every time? BrewControl will remember what coffee to water ratio you want, calculating the coffee and water weights on the fly.
Once you're ready to brew, BrewControl will manage the time as well. Keep track of brew time with a stopwatch timer, or countdown timer, depending on the brew method you select.
I've also included my own personal brewing guidelines as a very ignorable feature. If you're looking for a new perspective on an old favorite, or a potential starting point, the brewing guidelines might possibly maybe not hurt.
This app was created for the serious home barista. If you want the iPhone to handle all the things it can handle when you're brewing coffee, there's nothing like it. Trust me, I checked.
What's New in Version 1.7.1
Bug fixes (now it doesn't crash in iOS 5)
Part of my daily routine
I've been using this app for many, many months now as a part of my morning routine. I'm an Aeropress guy who loves to tinker with various brew methods, so this app allows me to constantly tweak and fine tune my process. I've even been able to adjust the times & volumes in order to come up with an "Aeropress for Two" method. I simply love being able to consistently execute my finely tuned methods.
Oh, and I do use it occasionally with my french press, too.
The definitive coffee brewing tool
Update: My daily companion for more than 4 years. Unlike a lot of iOS software, this app doesn't need much in the way of updates. It's amazing as it is.
This is a great app for managing the preparation of just about every brewing method. The app has a great looking UI and works well. Recent improvements make an already great app better.
Handy calculations for better coffee
I tend to brew coffee of many different types with many different gadgets. So Brew Control really helps me remember which ratio of beans to water works best with Aeropress, french press, pour over, etc.
Not very pretty, and slightly clunky, but an indispensable part of my brewing routine.
