Bytes helps you keep track of your data usage. It shows you how much data you’ve used on both the mobile network (3G, 4G, LTE, etc.) and WiFi. Updated for iOS 10, the app features a beautiful minimalist design. With the ability to set data limits, monitor your daily data usage, send nightly notifications and more, Bytes helps you stay informed about your data usage.
Bytes uses Background App Refresh to keep track of your data usage - it works best when left open in the background.

Note: Bytes does not take into account any carrier-specific promotions. Furthermore, your carrier and / or ISP reserves the final word regarding how much data your device consumed over any given period of time. Bytes works best on 64-bit devices.

Ratings and Reviews
Excellent app in every way
The app UI is excellent, the widget is just what I was looking for, and it respects my privacy in every way. 5/5 stars.
I like the simplicity of this app. It doesn't feel bloated. I would like to see a "data remaining" stat added to both the main interface and to the widget. And it would be nice if when clicking on the Bytes tab within the widget panel, it opens the app automatically.
I will increase my rating and make a full purchase with a few tweaks like this. Keep up the good work.
I had a hard time finding a free app for my phone on iOS 7 to track data without sharing my information to third parties, but this (so far as I know) is it.
AT&T hasn't been good about giving me data alerts early or detailed enough, and checking my usage for the month usually is an hour or a day behind, so this has cost me overages multiple times.
With Bytes, I don't have that problem, because I can see how much data I've used for the billing cycle (you set the start date) and how much for the current day, so I can keep myself from going over my data. It also gives alerts shortly after going over the average daily data limit.
The alerts could be better, and they could give alerts for when I use up half of the data or 2/3, etc, and I expect that when I do end up using iOS 9 I'll be able to find something better.
One other possible problem is that it seems to over-report my data usage compared to what the phone and AT&T say by a little bit. But better over report than under report.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
