Calendars is the most elegant and easy to use calendar application available on the App Store. It works perfectly with Google Calendar and built-in iOS Calendar.
Calendars allows you to manage events both online and offline. Thanks to the unique interface you can move events simply with Drag & Drop, navigate quickly between dates, change event time and reminders rapidly with custom keyboards.
Calendars supports everything you can find in Google Calendar: appointments, reminders and more. Sync is really fast and your information is always up to date.
What makes Calendars great:
◆ Interface focused on events
Elegant and easy to use interface makes it super simple to get a quick overview of the upcoming events and tasks. You always keep your focus on what's important; there is nothing to distract you.
◆ Day, Week, Month and List views of your events.
Calendars illustrates your Day, Week and Month on a small iPhone screen the best possible way. Depending on the situation, select the view that conveniently unveils your schedule.
◆ First-class iPad calendar

- Special Keyboards -
Appointment time and reminders can be defined twice faster than in the built-in iOS calendar, all thanks to custom keyboards.

Very Happy With This App
The interface is clean and snappy, and generally works great. I use this to sync multiple Google calendars across my personal and work life and it works flawlessly so far. I can't do this with Fantastical 2 because my company calendar isn't allowed to be configured through iOS settings for some reason, and AFAICT Fantastical 2 doesn't support direct calendar connections to circumvent this problem. But directly through Calendars I can get this to work! Calendars only supports one direct Google calendar connection however, but this combined with local calendar connections for my personal Google calendar is enough for me. I get my personal Google calendars via local calendars (configured in iOS settings) and my work Google calendars via a direct connection so I can see work and home life in one calendar - brilliant!
One thing it needs though is support for 'location' of meetings. GCal will stick hangout links in that field but those don't come through. This is very unfortunate and I'd love to see it get fixed. If you're on the go without the hangout or GoToMeeting link you're kind of screwed. I want to see the link right there and be able to deep link over to the Hangouts or GoToMeeting app then I'd be perfectly happy.
ADROID TO APPLE
I did the switch from an LG to apple and was unimpressed with apples calendar. I used my lg's calendar religiously and it wasn't until I found this one that I was finally ok with my switch. (Who knew a calendar could make such a difference?) It syncs with my gmail so all my old events transferred over. It also syncs with the apple calendar if on the off chance i still wanted to use that. I love how you can see the entire month's worth of events- this is nice when seeing when my bills are due or when my automatic deposit is going to come through. (You can choose what day the week starts on and still have the option to view each day and each week) I love how you can personalize with event colors and put in event descriptions and location while still viewing all this info with just a tap on the event. The location also syncs with the maps app to help get you to where you need to be. I wish you didn't have to re-copy an event to paste again but this is still a very nice feature. Over-all I'm a huge advocate and tell everyone I know to use this app! Nicely done and so very user friendly!! Don't just take my word. See for yourself
-Ya. I did just geek so hard over this app. No shame.
Works in US only
Everything works great except when time zone changed. When I went international travel, this calendar changed time zone & messed up all scheduled events.m, especially with my flight schedule on the calendar. It was a disaster to figure it out. When I travel, I still want to follow all calendar events & reminder set at home to do a lot of things. It makes this calendar very inconvenient when you go travel with different time zone. Hope we have a choice to choose & not to change the calendar time zone.
Another thing I don't like is that when I put a scheduled time in, it will automatically switches the time to the time slot & erase the writing on my notes. I like to see all my flight's departure time & arrival time on the notes ,sometimes includes all connection flight's timing also. This calendar will automatically erase all my departure times on the notes which bothers me a lot. Hope it will improve on this.
