I can say that I've played this game now for a little over a year and can agree that sometimes you get stuck on a level for some time, but I disagree with the fact that you have to buy power ups to beat them. I'm over level 400 and have never purchased anything, guess I'm not that addicted. However, I don't understand why on the tablet you can play the challenges to get to the next set of levels, but on the phone you have to ask your Facebook friends to help you bypass the challenges. Let me play them. I don't mind waiting 24hr to play the next challenge. I use the other time to play rounds I didn't score well on. The owl levels on the other hand...definitely aren't my favorite. I'm stuck on level 20 something and just stopped with that section of the game, since it seems like you have to spend the extra money there. Overall I think this is a fun game to help relax after a long day of work. It also helps me fall asleep.
Could use improvements
I love playing this game. I think there's room to make it better though. I don't think you should have to buy your way into next rounds. Then if a friend gives you the gold bars/coins (whatever they are) to get into the next round and you don't use them (maybe someone else gave them to you already or you bought your way in), you can't go back to get them for the next level. Also, I think there should be some type of thank you or likes for when someone gives you a life or gold bars. There's no type of way to let the person know if you used what they've helped you with or not. Other than buying your way into the next level (every 10 games that you pass) and zero communication between "friends" on here, I do enjoy playing it. I play daily. I love the prize wheel!! It's awesome. I've thought about spending money on getting to the next level because that's how bad I want to get back to my game however, Id prefer not to spend money on games like this. It can get expensive quick. Enjoy! It is addicting! Lol
Most games help you build a level of virtuosity, and then give you levels to win based on a relevant skill. This game builds skills on some levels, but then gives you other levels that don't allow you to win unless you purchase power ups, otherwise you can spend weeks on a single level, almost solving it time after time, but not getting helpful combinations. Power ups can cost $30US or more. Other levels have more helpful combinations, and can be solved after one attempt. Having said that, the game is properly addictive, I think through the psychology of the developer's level strategy. Don't get this game unless you are prepared to spend lots of time and / or money on the solution.
UPDATE: Recent patches have made the Dreamland levels nearly impossible to get past one or two moves. I am about done with this stuff.
Update: well, I only have myslelf to blame. Level 829 requires 30 striped and 20 wrapped, but on a new installation, it is 25 striped and 20 wrapped! I have been playing 30/20 for weeks, and find out other users have been playing 25/10. I call total shenanigans.
