Very Good Game!

This is a very good game! BUT BE CAREFUL!!!!!!! This game not only costs the advertised value of $2.99, but there are also many inn app purchases to be made. In order to get multiplayer, which is one of the funnest parts of the game IF you have a friend to play it with, you must pay an additional $2.99. There is also a great bundle that i would highly recommend that adds many features to the game for an additional $3.99. And last but not least, if you're picky like myself, there are two additional $1 purchases for two minor things that aren't too important. If you are not quite a mathematician, that adds up to a MAXIMUM TOTAL OF $14, which will give you all of the possible features of the game. If you are not willing to spend big, but would still like to have the game, I would say that you should just get the game and it's multiplayer. This is the type of game in which is a risky investment if you don't know what you are getting into, so i would strongly suggest trying the light version before the full version. Overall, if you are into strategy type games, I believe you'll LOVE this game, and i hope this review has been helpful to you. <3

Disappointed... But read to the bottom!

So me and my 10 year old brother love the Civilization franchise. We have all the dlc for civ 5 and do LAN servers all the time. I really enjoy the pc version and HIGHLY recommend it. Anyway, when we saw that civ rev was on the App Store, we thought it might be a cool thing to play during trips and stuff. Since this game was on mobile, I expected some removed features and smaller map size, but that was about it. But instead, I got like 5 civilizations, TINY maps, terrible AI, bugs, and literally like barely 5 different units! Be ready to have barely any research choices, and every country wants to declare war! No diplomacy! Also, the tiles are square! SQUARE! If you've ever played a pc civilization game, just try to imagine square tiles. That takes all the strategy out of combat and planning an invasion on a city if there are only 4 entry points. How hard would it have been to just make hexagonal tiles! And I know it would take ALOT of space on a phone or iPad, but I would give up all 16 of my phone's GB to have a pocket civ 5 bnw on my phone. I gave this two stars because I have faith in Sid Meier and if you have a PC I SUPER HIGHLY recommend that you buy Civilization V on steam. And buying the Brave New World add on will make your game much more fun!

It's fun to a point.

Honestly I like this game.
But there's no point between too easy and impossible. Warlord and chieftain are too easy there's next to no challenge but once you try king it's almost impossible. I'm talking armies of tanks and bombers and infantry being destroyed completely by a never ending swarm of riflemen that aren't even in an army and are newly made do they aren't even veteran and city's with tanks being taken by singular catapults and the fact that every civ you meet goes to war with you unless you give it all your money or tech they could kill you with easily. Then there's chieftain, you easily take city's full of legions out with armies of veteran warriors with navel support. Theres either no resistance or an impossible resistance.
I like a challenge but I don't like to be at war with all the other civs because my 5000+ gold and my tech (which is almost always superior) isn't good enough to pay them off. So I'm fighting an endless war every game that I can't win because rifle are better then tanks when the other civs use them but when I use riflemen I get crushed.
Thanks for reading my rant of warning.
