This is the perfect indoor cycling companion! Choose from a selection of training programs, there's one for you whether you're looking forward to improve your maximum oxygen consumption or you just want to have fun.
During your training, when it's time to change the intensity, a visual and audio cue will let you know. The application also takes care of changing the music to fit the evolution of your training program. Quieter songs for warm up, then power songs for the sprints? You decide. You can match each level of intensity with a playlist or a song from your music library.
The training screen displays the time left in the program and the time left in the current section. You can change it so it displays the elapsed time instead. The playing song is also displayed; touch it if you want to skip to the next song. Touching the section name enables you to skip the section. Touching the intensity graph will reveal the next three sections.
- Optimized for retina display
- Airplay support
- Compatible with iPhone and iPad
- an intensity level can now be associated with a single song instead of a playlist.
- improved the UI.
- the app now officially supports iPad.

50 minutes and I sweat just fine!
Just bought a stationary stand to pop in my outdoor bicycle so I can sort of spin at home when I cannot get out. ( With 3 young kids it's not always easy to leave them for an hour to workout.) I set up my bike in the garage while my kids were playing in the yard. I found this free app to test out with my new rig. It is very basic but it did the trick and I enjoyed myself. It took all my music stored in my iPhone that i had previously purchased, and timed the song with the intensity level. A 50 minute preset workout included some high medium and low intensities, along with a cool down. At the beginning of each new level, a little bell rings and then a voice announces the kind of intensity to do. If you are looking at the screen it tells you how many minutes for each section. I know the program has even more options but for what I want, which is an hour of cardio to music I like, it was perfectly fine and easy.
Does what you need it to do!
Has like 3 workouts pre-programmed in there, i.e. 8x 3 min high intensity, 2 min low intensity, 60 min workout. Works with Pandora running simultaneously, which is perfect because I don't have any playlists on my iPhone right now. If you have or want your own music, you can go on your computer, make specific playlists for different portions of your workout, and sync it with the app. For example, slow song playlist for cooldown, and fast, upbeat playlist for high intensity intervals. Pretty cool feature! There is a lady who gives audio cues so you know when to do what without looking at your phone. Definitely an awesome app, now I don't have to worry about missing spin class anymore, I can do it on my own!
Good in a pinch... But....
I'm training for an 80mile ride soon and I need to get miles in when I can. After downloading a few apps that didn't do what I needed I found this one. I should have done a little more research before my ride cause I was not aware of a couple of things. The major thing was the "play section cues" (which tells you when to change intensity) does not work on the lock screen so I found myself checking my phone constantly and throwing my rhythm off. I did notice after the fact that this could be fixed via the "prevent screen lock" setting but I don't want to drain my battery.
Time for the positives: clean Ui, very simple to use and understand. Ability to AirPlay is tight and may solve the interval timing problem if I move my trainer indoors. Overall good app!
