In the distant future, the only sentient beings in the world are robots.
They are the last remnant of the human spirit.
However, mankind is not dead.
Technology exists that is capable of transferring memories to these robots.
But with limited space, new memories will gradually overwrite the old.
To prevent the emotions in human memories from fading away, the robots resorted to converting the emotions to music, and storing them in a place called Cytus.
The robots use these songs to experience human emotion and dream that souls exists in each of them...

Amazing and stunning- and I usually hate rhythm games!
Trust me, I'm one of those people who's prone to mobile-device-throwing when I'm frustrated with games. Any and all devices with rhythm games installed should probably be kept very, very far away from me. Unless, of course, it's Cytus! It's not that there are no hard songs. There are plenty of horribly difficult songs, many of which border the realm of the impossible. Yet... somehow, I don't feel the same phone-throwing rage? It may be the music (which is, by the way, STUNNING, spanning across diverse genres- go straight to Ververg when you get it, trust me) But most likely, it's the gameplay that makes Cytus shine. Unlike other games of its kind, when you miss a tap here there are no obnoxious noises, flashing red lights, or exclusion of any part of the music. Only a gentle little white "miss" which fades quickly. Even when you're missing 50% of the taps (I know I sure am!) It is still enjoyable and relaxing to play. It doesn't make you feel like a sloppy idiot pounding uselessly at the screen. And the screen is, by the way, beautiful- the cover art for these songs is gorgeous! And there are SO many songs. There are
In summary- if you're looking for a rhythm game, this is it! It is fun, innovative, challenging but not agitating, even relaxing, and- beautiful. And it will NOT make you want to chuck your device out the window, a lá flappy bird.
Awesomeness, with a glitch
This game is absolutely fun, it is a little hard, but I like a little challenge, which makes it more fun. But I noticed a flaw or two, the pause button, the pause button has MAJOR responsive issues, I clicked it a few times and it won't respond and I will get a lot of misses, also, some songs that are either over leveled or under leveled, such L easy dive easy, L is lv 9 for easy and it feels like a LV 6 to me, but I get a lot of misses on that song so never mind, but freedom dive easy is lv 6, even though it feels like a lv nine song, so, maybe regrade a few songs, but other wise, very fun,oh one more song to add on to the list, twenty one, THAT SONG AIN'T A LV 4 ON EASY, THAT IS A DANG LV6? SINCE I CAN COMPLETE LV 5S EASILY AND THAT IS A LV 4 AND I CANNOT GET PAST THAT DUBSTEP WITHOUT TRIPPING UP
I downloaded this game more or less on a whim and I do not regret either of those dollars. The songs that I've played so far have been excellent and there's a ton for the cost (with more apparently coming?) and even the ones I don't love as much have interesting charts. My only complaint is that the level gap between easy and hard in the early chapters is kind of insane, but it seems to be leveling out the more I play. Pause button's a little glitchy, too, as some people have pointed out, but it usually works for me if I tap it twice. All in all, Cytus is probably the best rhythm game I've found for iOS so far, and the sheer content you get for what you pay compared to similar games is astounding.
