• COGNITIVE BIAS MODIFICATION
An attentional bias is subconscious tendency to favour one thing over another. For example, when presented with a table full of food, a person with a bias towards junk food will be subconsciously drawn to the junk food items before they have even begun to decide what to eat. Diet Mint uses Cognitive Bias Modification (CBM) to alter this unhealthy bias.
The aim of the game is to tap the healthy image as quickly as you can. By consciously and repeatedly selecting healthy food options over unhealthy options, the programme gradually primes your brain to automatically favour healthy food options in your everyday life. In effect, there will be less temptation to ‘cheat’ and making healthy food choices will become easier and more spontaneous.
You can delete, edit and add your own images to the bias modification programme in Settings.

During the CBM session, text slides will slide up over the screen. You can take your time reading them as the timer will stop while the text slide is on screen. The text slides will provide you with all the tips, stats and facts you need to develop healthy eating habits.
