What's New in Version V1.4

2. Locked to Portrait view.
3. Coming soon a new Dilbert Mobile app with new functions.
No longer works PLEASE UPDATE!!
I love Dilbert and this app has given me a daily smile for years-- or it did until the latest iOS update, that is. Like others have reported, it continually gives a "no internet connection" error message and will no longer open. Resets and uninstalling/ reinstalling make no difference.
This app has not been updated since 2012 when we were given a jerryrigged "fix" that kept it in portrait mode -- to fix serious crashes caused by changes to iOS at that time.
If Tarsin has abandoned the app I am sure that Scott Adams would be able to find another willing Dilbert-addicted developer (with Dilbert's talent of course) to update it for modern versions of iOS. Someone please fix this because if Wally or PHB have taken over we may as well give up on seeing this app ever work again. I personally would be willing to pay a few bucks for the privilege of having a working app that was maintained and I doubt I am alone.
While overall the app is pretty good, it needs a few things fixed. They really are not big things. Get off your lazy butts and fix them. I could fix these bugs in half a day. By just doing a mediocre, barely good enough app, you are reflecting poorly on your brand.
On the iPad it should allow rotation in all four directions. Always, an iPad app will get rejected for not doing this. Unless you are Dilbert?
For devices that support Fast App Switching, the app needs to detect that a new day's comic is available. For example, if you check out Monday's comic and then come back Tuesday to see that comic, it looks like Tuesday's isn't available. The only way to get around this is to kill the app or to hit the back arrow and then the forward arrow twice.
And finally, this app feels like a crappy blackberry app that has been ported to the iPhone without taking into account the iPad at all. It could and should be better.
Wally wrote this app. Look at your hand. See that pinky? You didn't even lift it to write this app. Put some effort into it.
One of my favorite apps
I love Dilbert and this is a great app. Not just to see today's strip but you can select 'random' and it will show you a strip from anytime during the many years of Dilbert - and from there you can navigate forward or backward, and select and save individual strips as your favorites. When IOS6 broke it I was really bummed but at last it's been fixed. hurray!
