Great app for studying anatomy

This app is great for everyboby who wishes to review high school anatomy or learn something new. It lacks the depth of such books as Gray's or Netter's anatomy textbooks, but this may be an advantage for people who don't have medical training. Also it has lots of pretty pictures, so it can be used to support your explanations concerning certain anatomical phenomena (you'll understand what I am talking about if you ever had to explain some complicated medical stuff to a patient/relative/friend) or just to show off how smart you are when it comes to anatomy :).

Personally I hope to see more videos and explanatory text in the future! Great app, I will gladly use it in my anatomy classes and recommend it to others! Thank you!

READ THIS BEFORE BUYING

I wanted to love this app but I don't and here's why.
This app is It's basically a rehash of an award wining BOOK with a limited series of charts. By limited i mean, for example, going into cardio vascular besides the initial human outline there are only a few areas that can be brought up to simulate zoom in areas with additional details. Same with nervous, skin, reproductive, etc. Yes you can always by gesture expand or "zoom" a given image but it doesn't reveal additional detail.
Basically is an online version of a book.
What was I expecting? Something that would take advantage of the interactive capabilities of the iPad. Something like the elements app where you can rotate and spin objects in 3d and provides detailed content, which this app doesn't.
The real human body is a fascinating organism but sadly this app isn't.
This app should be worth $2.99 at most. Its a collection of pretty drawings. At $13 this app is a total rip-off.
Save your money and instead buy the book ( this app is a rehash of a printed book).

Good App, has GUI and Information Issues

On the surface it looks like this would be a great learning tool for anyone interested in the human anatomy.
However, it falls short on many of the descriptions or is just plain incomplete, forcing you to go elsewhere (Web) for more detailed information. I expected a lot more from a package with a relatively high price to include what I would find in a high-school anatomy book, but it doesn't. Trying to navigate through the software leaves a lot to be desired. Some pages allow you to "swipe" to the next page, others don't. Some pages let you "swipe" to rotate and others don't. Its user interface doesn't flow like most iPad Apps. I hope an update/redesign is in the near future.
