Excellent app but iPad version has proven glitchy

The iphone app is faultless, and the idea of both apps is excellent: super quick to capture simple text notes, whenever and wherever, and then going a step beyond to make it easy to then do tons of different things with that text. These range from emailing it, saving it to dropbox, to complex chains of actions. These all work well, though require some geeky knowledge to get the real magic to happen. I also really like the extra keyboard row to help writing longer notes.

But the iPad app is not perfect, due to ongoing glitches. I have emailed the developer several times who has been very helpful and responsive, but problems persist. This makes writing in Drafts on the iPad for anything more than a couple of paragraphs an increasing pain. The cursor can seem to jump around, selecting text can be difficult, the pop up menu on text sometimes does not behave as it should, longer documents develop problems while scrolling, including not letting me scroll to the top or bottom of the document or scrolling slightly by itself. This has been ever more frustrating. I hope it gets fixed in the next update, but these problems seem to come and go with different versions.

This was a pleasant surprise. Drafts for the iPhone had become one of my most used applications. Drafts acts as the gatekeeper to my digital life. Everything that is sent off somewhere into the "cloud" starts in Drafts. This app gives me the time to fully digest an idea before sending it to it's destination. I appreciate this app. It has changed my workflow.

Before today I was wrongly under the impression that Draft's was an iPhone only app. I somehow randomly stumbled upon the app on my iPad and was overjoyed. I am happy to shell out a few more dollars to a developer that I respect. Thank you for this tool.

Side note: For those of you that are new to this app. When I first bought it on my iPhone I placed it on my first page of apps (with all the other ones that don't deserve to be buried on another page or in a folder) and it sat there. I didn't know how I wanted to use this app. It took some tinkering. Play around with it. It took me a good solid month before it really clicked for me and fell in to place with how I used my phone (and now iPad).

Most important app on my ipad/iphone, always has been, always will be

I don't even know how to review this app. How do you review your right hand? Or your morning coffee? Drafts is at the center of basically everything I do at work and at home. I can do anything I please—upload a new text file in exactly the right format to exactly the right dropbox folder, with the date the draft was *created!*, the title, the body, all in Markdown, all with one button. This is the one app that makes sure it is integrated with TextExpander no matter what, and don't think it's not appreciated—it is, hugely. The developer is a pro, he is very responsive and makes certain that every aspect of his massive program works with each iOS iteration. If you want to do anything with text on iOS in less time with less hassle, buy this app immediately. The only limit is your imagination (hokey, but true). Thanks Agile Tortoise, you make my life so much easier.
