★★★★★ Connect your network drives only once! Set it and forget it ★★★★★

Drive Mounter connects all your network drives and folders:
+ automatically at start up
+ automatically when your computer wakes up from sleep
+ manually by pressing a menubar button (if needed)

It detects changes in Wifi connection so it always connects the appropriate drives. Also works on LAN

Control Drive Mounter from the menu bar with a single click. Very easy to use!

“Drive Mounter makes it easy by doing all the hard work for you. It remembers which drives should be mounted on which networks and mounts them accordingly when you boot or resume you Mac.”

Great for over-the-Internet backups

I have two Time Capsules set up in two separate locations that I back my MacBook Air up to using CrashPlan. I’m rough on my network connection - closing my MacBook Air randomly and hauling it to/from a café for example. The Time Capsules aren’t on the most stable of networks either. The drives themselves are mounted via Back To My Mac, and I added them to Drive Mounter. After an initial issue with being repeatedly prompted for a password, which was resolved quickly by an email to the developer (don’t enter a password for your drive if the password’s in your keychain), Drive Mounter works perfectly. It tries tirelessly to connect to my hard-to-reach drives (I’ve checked the console logs). Even with my unstable network environment, Drive Mounter lets me set and forget my backup drives.

Great when it works, not so great when it doesn't

When I first installed this application I had no trouble getting it working and it worked marvelously. But then I had to replace the hard drive I was using with my Airport Extreme and now I can't get it to work any more. All it does is keep popping up a dialog asking for the password for the server. I have to type fast because the dialog disappears after only a few seconds. When I manage to enter the password it doesn't recognize it. There does not appear to be any support or any way to contact the developer.

There is a much easier solution to this anyway. Alll you have to do is mount the server manually and then drag the icon into your Login Items. Then it will always mount automatically whenever you log in.

Works well in simple setups, no VPN support however

This app well under simple network setups it will mount drives and keep them mounted when you move between networks. It does however seem to lack the ability to notice when you connect to a VPN and map drives over a VPN connection. I also could not get it to re-map the drives using the "Connect drives on list" option after a VPN connection is established so its not that great for VPN situations, hopefully this will improve in future realeases.
