3 glaring issues

I have never bothered to take the time to review an app, but these are things you want to know and may affect how you feel about downloading this app.

1. Upload rate is horrendous. It takes minimum two minutes to upload a standard iPhone picture. (I have 600)

2. Which brings me to the second part of this issue...Even if I authorize the app to run in the background, it stops loading when you leave the app (I am also on wifi and plugged in)

3. Which brings us to the third issue, and my concern resounds on a deeper note...

WHY CANT I AUTHORIZE THE APPLICATION TO CONTINUE TO UPDATE IN THE BACKGROUND, WITHOUT GIVING YOU PERMISSION TO ACCESS AND TRACK MY CURRENT LOCATION, AT ANY TIME OF DAY OR NIGHT, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER THE APP IS EVEN RUNNING?

I pay you to safeguard my documents, not collect additional information about where I am every minute of every day. This is an invasion of my privacy and it does not help the app to function. The only thing your app (you) need to be concerned with is whether or not I have wifi at a given moment or whether I authorize you to use cellular data to operate in the background. Considering I pay you to preserve my documents and pictures, there is no reason that I should be required to allow you to invade my privacy and give you more information than is necessary for you to safeguard my documents and take my money. Please explain why you need to know where I am 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week.

Great...few problems though

I love using Dropbox to transfer my photos and videos throughout my devices. This app works pretty well, and looks pretty good on newer iOS systems. My only problem is how it uploads photos. I was in the middle of uploading photos and videos when I had to close out of Dropbox (upload in background was turned on), and my whole upload froze. Dropbox would not finish the upload process at all. I tried deleting the app and reinstalling it to give it a fresh start but it started right where it left off and made things partially frustrating. That would be great if the developers could make a more "glitch-proof" photo and video uploading system.

Worst photo backup ever!

I'm a paying Dropbox user. I've been with them since 09. I also used carousel which was hands down the best photo backup solution for iPhone. I want upset when DB acquired carousel, just the opposite. It made sense. Then they sunset carousel. I thought ok, DB will integrate the finer points of carousel into DB. But they didn't. They didn't and DB has the worst photo back up out there. Period! Doesn't backup in the background, terrible search, albums—nope. As a paying DB user I expected more. As a result I'm looking for a Dropbox replacement, something more integrated, that has quality file backup with equally good photo backup solutions. You blew it Dropbox and betrayed your users. If you're as upset about how Dropbox killed carousel as I am I suggest you do the same and migrate to another backup solution.
