What's New in Version 1.4.1
- Fixed bug with Unlock All Zones
The graphics are nice to look at and the music & sound effects aren't terribly annoying. The game play is only a little above generic. Just your average level game with packs of levels, each pack contains like 20 something levels and you move forward by beating each one. You're rated using 1-3 stars. I think in 8-9 levels I got 3-4 perfect rating. You have to swipe the screen to get the bird to fly, but it doesn't seem to be completely responsive. Sometimes a specific swipe done correctly doesn't give the intended result. Overall it's a decent game, I recommend it if you like this type of levels game.
Move Over Angry Birds...
Early Bird is here! Early Bird is a very fun game! I'm on iPod Touch 4th Gen, and it runs very nicely. No crashing or lagging whatsoever. The animation is nice, very cartoony (also, Early Bird is very cute!). Easy controls; You move by slicing the screen with your finger, the longer you slice, the more farther Early Bird flies. Early Bird is such a fun game, I have to admit I was addicted to it when I first started. I would recommend this game to anyone. If you haven't yet, try it. You will not be disappointed!
Good Game, Poor Controls
The game is good. I waited to write a review until I finished the entire first section if the game, Breezy Meadow. I scored 72 out of 72 stars, and ate every bug on every level.
As is normal, the levels get progressively harder, which brings the major flaw of the game into focus: the controls are frustratingly inconsistent. Some swipes fling the bird a great distance, while others act as if the bird was being flung through molasses. Sensitivity to the angles of swipes seem to vary as well as the power.
Ultimately, are you willing to put up with control issues to play a well designed, challenging, and visually attractive game?
