I am mostly writing this in the hopes that eBay will stop asking me to review their app. But I have bought thousands of items and I do like the app for the most part. They need to put more effort into programming for mobile devices however. I have an iPhone 6 plus (so, larger screen than most smartphones) but many of the most common things I click on require me to scroll to get to them. I don't need to have the category (sometimes five lines) up front because I ALREADY FOUND THE ITEM. I don't need the item number either while I'm deciding if I'm going to bid. When I want to see what similar items sold for in recent months, I should be able to press one button, not have to press 7. eBay needs to talk to people who use eBay a lot and maybe get some focus groups to make suggestions for improvements to the mobile app. But by in large the app is functional and does its job. Now stop asking me to review eBay because that banner causes the messages notifications and the followed searches button on the home page not be seen without scrolling down.
Scammer feast on this website
A few weeks ago I made purchase on your website like I have many times before. Never dealing with buyers on your website have I been lied to and screwed over 350 plus. I love you website it gives me everything I could ask for, until I was sold replicas of an item that was told to be 100 percent authentic. I was under that impression by your money back guarantee policy that if you bought an item that wasn't as describe you would be refunded that money as soon as possible hassle free . LIE, after I put a case on the purchase after three days I was told I can't return the item and will have to keep the replicas that cost 75 dollars at any other website. I went and bought these items on your website because I felt I was guaranteed to have something official or I would be awarded back all of my money back. I'm completely frustrated at you dealing with this and I must say I will never do business again with your company because of this. I feel cheated, lied to, hustled, scammed. By a company that's fairly known to keep buyer and seller on a equal platform, you put me at the lower end of the sea-saw. As a buyer I am a consumer, a customer and the customer service here is completely transparent.
Beware of the buyer protection! It's for the big sellers!!!! Not the customers.
I have been buying on eBay for a decade and I have never had issues with a seller lying and not making it right until here recently on 2 items. Ebay buyer protection is a JOKE so beware!!! Ebay backs their big sellers they get their fees from for selling & not big the buyers! I have purchased over 150 items on eBay in a year and sold who know how many!!!! Buyers be very careful and make sure you don't mind throwing that money away if you get a big seller that won't back their product and lies in the ad and pictures. As for this app. Itvis not good for several issues. When selling, paying fees, sending resolution issues and retracting bids, dealing with problems in general etc. etc... I also have only given one bad review and it still stayed positive with my negative comments added. So beware on the percentage of positive and read the comments well.
I an hugely disappointed in their favoritism and poor choice in business matters with unhappy customers. Beware buying expensive items. There are a lot of scammers and liars including eBay's poor choices through the resolution center.
