Don’t waste your time

This app is complete garbage. You’re in a city that hasn’t accepted Uber or Lyft yet, you see a sticker on the window of the crusty cab you are riding in and you think, how bad can it be? It’s pretty bad. If this is eCabs attempt to help save the taxis, what they may actually be doing is creating even more demand for Uber/Lyft. I’ve tried to use this three times. First I tried for 10 minutes to get my credit I card loaded and it kept giving me errors so I gave up. Then a few days later when I was tired of hailing a cab I tried it again. This time it took my card but whenever I tried to request a car it would always (in bad grammar) tell me the request failed. I tried again today, same issue, only this time I discover the ridiculous choice of eCab or eCab+. You need to slide a bar (wrong UX choice, this should be a segmented control) to choose an upgraded option which gives you the bonus feature of... wait for it... using your credit card to pay for the cab!!! Are you kidding me? What do you think people are expecting when they download this app?

The Worst!

After receiving errors the first three times I tried to call a cab, my request was finally accepted. The cab driver then stopped about 5 blocks from my location and reported that I was “absent”. He didn’t pick up when I called twice and I was charged $5. He then drove to my correct location and picked me up - I paid in the cab like normal. Sounds like a SCAM. Of course, when I tried to submit a help request to eCab, I received errors and could never submit. Don’t waste your time or money.

Worthless app

Scotty Don't

Doesn’t work, always failed to obtain a cab, charges $.80 per attempt. Tried to submit a complaint in the app, fails to submit a complaint. Just worthless. Save your time
