Fun, challenging, and addictive!

I got the lite version first and had to get the full game! A nearly perfect game and a must buy! It is one of those games whose core play is deceptively simple, and the first few levels ease you in to it. Then you have a level that really takes a while to get through, followed by a couple easier ones, but they each are unique and build a new skill so when the next tough one comes, you have to combine those skills and it pushes your concentration and finger dexterity. Is it too tough like some say? Maybe, but I think that's refreshing-- too many games these days baby you the whole time so anyone can beat them. I welcome this type of challenge, it feels like I really accomplish something when I beat each level. Plus it feels very futuristic and intelligent to play, like I'm splitting atoms and moving molecules around for some important research :-) I'm up to level 12 and ready for more! Requests: how about an infinite free play level to play more casually or as a time out when you're stuck on a hard level, or include a level editor to create our own using different parameters! More music variety would be cool too, there's only 3 tunes that rotate right now.

Genius Design | Genius Gameplay

What I have found lacking in many of the games released for the iphone is that they are not at all imaginative and get bogged down in their focus on arcade style play by utilizing the tilt and touch features the iphone offers and overdeveloped graphics that do not translate well to the small screen. Too often I have found myself annoyed with gameplay and control--really, how can tilting a screen be akin to steering a car? The literal translation is cheesy and gimicky. Eliss, and designer Steph Thirion, have found a happy marriage of gameplay and touch that forces the user to get into the game like never before. By focusing on solid design (and not on 'realistic' arcade style graphics and gameplay) Eliss allows the gamer to focus on what is seldom featured on the iphone...THE GAME. Comparatively, this game is for the iphone what World of Goo is for the Wii--an unpretentious, resounding success in enthralling gameplay and simple design. This is far and away the best game I have played on the iphone--it is a design to behold and will almost certainly be seen as a classic in years to come. **As a side note the music and sound effects are just as beautiful as the graphics.

Really Cool; Very Unforgiving

Dear Steph Thirion, I bought this game five days ago, and I am quite addicted to it. When I close my eyes, I see squeesars! I am deeply admiring of the graphics, the music, and the sound effects. The game is indeed quite unforgiving. I wish contact between planets didn't eat one's life away quite so fast, esp. when they're only brushing one another. I think in addition to regaining strength from picking up stardust, maybe one should get a bump up with each successful supernova, too. I am up to Sector Fifteen (being amazed that I got past Sector 4teen), and I fear I will be there for a really long time. I can't make more than two supernovae before I've eaten away all my Life. For that reason, I also suggest including an additional song to play in the background (are there two at this time?), and that the songs should rotate from attempt to attempt within each Sector. Just to give each song a rest between frustrating attempts. Also: You should add some kind of cool sound effect for when the game opens and the attenna goes up. I really love all the aesthetics of this game, and the concept is great, too. (It's totally fun making dwarf planets!) So: Congratulations on it, and Thank You!
