It wasn't broken, but it is now!
I don't know what was wrong in the first place that needed fixing! It used to work great, and now it doesn't! People who can't see can no longer use this app adequately because it doesn't work with voiceover. You can get it to read a couple of different counties, but then it stops reading it altogether and just clicks. Furthermore, a lot of the feeds don't work anymore. Half the time, every feed that I click on says that it's off-line. I don't understand why this is, when they aren't. NOAA radio in my area has never worked. I don't know why it's there, because it should work, it's an emergency weather radio. If it doesn't work, it needs to be removed or fixed! I have never gotten any alerts for my area, but I get alerts for everywhere else. This doesn't make any sense, because unless it's a major catastrophe, most people want to hear what's going on in their own area, but aren't alerted.
It's pretty good
It ain't for the rural areas and if u wanna know what's happening in a community of 5,000 or less this app isn't for u. It's alright I guess but far from "outstanding". The listings have more departments that isn't broadcasting ie: gives u an error message (NOT that is broadcasting but no traffic) than is. It says that the particular station broadcasts at certain periods, that is total B.S. I've had this app for 2 yrs and any station that doesn't have a # of listeners underneath, you can forget about ever hearing them. So to sum it up, the app might say that it covers ?? Thousand frequencies (or however much it advertises, but you might as well take 75% of whatever it advertises off cause it doesn't. It's a good app but don't believe everything you see in the advertisement.
Best scanner app!
This is, by far the most useful scanner/emergency app out here. It is important to remember that this app, like some others, depends on individuals in selected areas volunteering to add their personal scanners to the stream. It involves setting up a scanner and a dedicated computer connected fulltime to the Internet. In areas where there are no "contributors" there will not be an online feed. This app combines nearly all available feeds in a concise and user friendly format. Nicely done!
