Epicurious Recipes & Shopping List
By Condé Nast Digital
Open iTunes to buy and download apps.
Packed with free features and more than 30,000 of the highest-quality recipes, there’s a reason why home cooks have downloaded the award-winning Epicurious app more than 10 million times since the App Store opened. And our latest version is the ultimate food utility, faster, friendlier and redesigned to be even easier to use.
With our latest release, the app features the world's first intelligent kitchen timer for the Apple Watch. (Don't worry, iPhone users — it works on the phone, too.) Choose from 40+ ingredients from one of five categories — steak, vegetables, chicken & pork, seafood, eggs — and our custom timer will tell you how long just about anything takes to cook. We'll remind you to flip something over and give you pointers on how to tell when it's cooked perfectly.
Finally, an answer to the question: "Hey, is this done yet?"
You can also:
• Store your favorite recipes across all your devices with our recipe box and shopping list.
• Search more than 30,000 of the best recipes from publishers like Gourmet, Bon Appetit, Random House, and more—for free.
• Find out what vegetables are fresh and in-season with our Seasonal Ingredient Finder. NOTE: This features uses your location. Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
• Go hands-free in the kitchen, using your voice to control the app with Cook Mode.
• Browse inspired recipe collections that update as the seasons change and holidays approach.
We highly recommend you upgrade your operating system on a regular basis. The new Epicurious app for iPhone and iPad works best on IOS 8.

What's New in Version 4.5.2
If you missed our last update, we added a smart kitchen timer for Apple Watch and the iPhone, too. This handy little feature can tell you how long it takes to cook more than 40 meats and vegetables, from acorn squash to zucchini.
And with this update, we've added even more bells and whistles to the smart timer. (Well, the bells anyway.) Now, when your dish is halfway done, you'll hear a ding. When it's just about done, you'll get a double-ding. And when it's finally done, a truly epic triple-ding. Also fixed: Some bugs related to ZipList recipes, third-party recipes, and member recipes.
Good app, updating improved
This is a nice app and one I use a lot. It has suffered from lost recipes, often, during app updates but that seems to have been improved now. Still missing a lot of recipes I had previously saved. A better way to organize saved recipes in the recipe box would be a nice improvement. Otherwise it's one of the best recipe apps available. They've continued to make improvements and little add ins but a better way to categorize your saved recipe box is a big miss still.
Anyone having issues with this app not opening and just displaying a black screen? Seems to be happening more and more and the only option seems to be to reboot phone. Using iPhone6 and all other apps work fine. Very frustrating. Used to use this quite a bit, but there are too many other good apps out there that work fine. Will likely uninstall.
Needs some work on shopping list otherwise aok
I like the app for lookup and info.
The shopping list works 1/3 of the time.
And i would pay to stop the popup ads which are annoying.
But a good place for quick info
