What's New in Version 1.1
Multicamera support, connect up to four iOS devices simultaneously with 'EpocCam MultiCam' available on App Store
Installed and had it up and running in 30 seconds. No preferences to fuss around with, just started the apps (ipad mini frist gen, first then mbp running osx 10.9 next) and it works. I already had my laptop and ipad on the same wifi network. There’s at least 200ms of latency (estimated), so not so good for live use for anything dynamic. But good enough for general wireless cam use around the theatre and home.
This worked right away for me.
I’ve run it a couple times from my iPhone 5S Works great. Even while my TV is streaming HD on netflix.
Falls short of expectations...
The app is way under my expectations for multiple reasons.
The first reason is that you can only get this to work via wifi connection, which leads to TERRIBLE latency issues esspecially during a livestream, not to mention medium stablility issues.
even if im trying to record, the feed is still 5-6 seconds behind….
I wouldnt recommend this app… unless the dev team can integrate hardwire support, which could definitely cut down on the stability and latency issues
