Good app. Needs improvement

not a professional

My wife and I use this app mainly for recording daily expenses. This app does what it says it does. We can sync data between our two iphones via bluetooth or wi-fi with no problem. This app does not sync data over internet as it says. I think this is a feature for security reasons and for operation cost reasons. I have no problem with that. I hope some improvements could be done.
1. I sometimes received refund, giftcard and small items that are considered as income. I hope this app allows negative numbers as income. This will make total summary correct with income and expense cancelling out each other.
2. When I view the summary I hope different person's entry can have different background color so I do not have to note people's name. Different background color can also make it possible to sort entries in list view in different ways while you can still easily keep visual track of who paid for what. The color could be automatically assigned or user selected.

Misses the mark.

I wanted to be able to have our respective iOS devices track and sync our shared expenses. This is one of the functions listed in the App Store description. However, the app fails in two areas: it does NOT synchronize data via the cloud: the devices must be on the same wifi network in order to synchronize. This makes the app unusable for us.

Additionally, while it tells you who owes who what, it does not have a settle-up feature that other apps have. Again, that's basic to the purpose of the app and the lack of this feature makes it unusable.

The App seems well written otherwise, so if you are not sharing data and you do not need to settle up, this app may work for you. However, if you want to sync, share, and settle-up, this app misses the mark.

The new update works incredibly well and an improvement on a program that I have used and loved for >2years. Recently I had a problem because my data file was so large and the programmers responded to my emails until they fixed the problem. All this for 2 bucks! This program has replaced all my paper and antiquated systems for tracking expenses. It has saved me thousands of hours and tend of thousands of dollars at tax time.
