Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. Facebook doesn't run GPS in the background unless you give us permission by turning on optional features that require this.
What's New in Version 85.0
Thanks for using Facebook! To make our app better for you, we bring updates to the App Store regularly.
Every update of our Facebook app includes improvements for speed and reliability. As new features become available, we’ll highlight those for you in the app.
Facebook is pretty good on the iPhone for the most part and almost similar to the iPad except much smaller of course and one thing I miss the most on iPhone is the ability to select all and have it read back to me, the area I had selected, be it a phrase or a paragraph or more.
That one thing I wish Facebook would add but hasn't done so, as as of yet on iPhone or on the iPad is dual screen program access and then there is tha Email Listing, as to allow us to separate our emails by the click of a toggle switch where you can have them as usual; in alphabetical order or group them together in various groups of who or where they came from, so weeding through them is much quicker, by segregated listing's to do as we please; be it delete, keep, or archive.
Other than that Facebook is perfect on iPhone for now. I like it just as it is. I'm sure there's other things that could be a plus but for the most part I like it very much just like I like my iPad or on my Windows laptop, using an even larger display which is not always necessarily better, except possibly for the ability to see more area in a larger format, if one is willing to give up the true mobility of the iPhone.
Removal of GIFS and Inability to Share Posts
There was a recent update with messenger where GIFS were offered again then it vanished today. I've gotta download a third party app to use them now. With the new Facebook update I can't share my friends posts any longer tried searching for the option with no luck. Would like to see an update where I'm not required to scroll to the top or exit and restart I order to get to the top to post a status. There used to be an icon that followed you and it's gone :( other than that all is good.
Each update causes all my selections to change....ex. I had my phone number listed as seen by No one and it became public. Another update started sending me notifications for my close friends and I didn't have them selected. I have not changed anything on my own. I want a private account but FB keeps trying to make more and more info public. I am computer savvy!!! This isn't user error!! Why are hacker doing this? What do they get out of it? Do they really think I would be interested in a guy who was thrown out of college and prep school for drugs twice and now makes salad at the cable company Stop hacking grow up.
