Yankee Magazine's Leaf Peepr app helps fall-foliage fans find and report on the best and brightest colors in the United States.
Make foliage reports (we call them Peeps!) by posting photos, writing comments, and rating foliage status for your location.
The Peak Slider lets you rate foliage as either Green, Turning, Moderate, Peak, Fading, or Gone. The current foliage color is determined by averaging other ratings in a geographic area along with your Peeps.
Use the Foliage Map to see photos and find current foliage rated by hundreds of other leaf peepers.
Updated for the 2018 foliage season.

Very happy for user reports
Not sure why there are so many critical reviews! I agree that more “peepers” would allow for more accurate results, but in my area (New England) I DO see enough reports to give a confident report.
The app could definitely be improved, but given its use is limited to just a month or so each year, it’s enough in my opinion.
Foliage predictors alone are nice, but user based reporting such as this one is an excellent supplement!
Worked great for me
I'm confused by the other negative reviews. I just wanted to see an app version of the foliage maps you can find on a standard web browser. Worked great for me. Of course it's not always 100% accurate but there's nothing better I've found in the App Store so I'm heartily giving five stars and really appreciate the development of this app.
I don't think they have enough people peeping to make this app accurate. It lists my county as currently changing and its not! It lists another county as completely gone today, when yesterday it was listed as green! And it lists how many recent reports this is based off of, which was 2!!! How can you make an app with accurate area color changes with only 1 or 2 reports based from people who are either colorblind or base their reports off 1 tree? Too bad this was the only app I found for this purpose.....😕
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
