Not able to make phone call after purchased one month unlimited plan
I am really disappointed with fring! This is not the first time, I paid for one month unlimited plan, even I received the receipt confirmed that I have already paid for the service, but I just can't call! Every time, fring keep giving me message saying that I don't have enough credit! Last time, it happened the same until 10 days later, fring finally showed my purchased! But I already lost 10 days! This is absolutely not a fair business! Fring customer service is horrible, you can never get answer from them!
Good when you can connect
I only use this for voice calls to a landline from a mobile. More often than not when the other party answers the call we cannot hear each other or anything on the line, even though the app is saying the call is connected and the quality is good. This happens 4 out of 5 times when I call someone. When the call can eventually connect properly it is good quality and definitely a good price. This would be great if it was more reliable.
Misleading FAQ
The fring FAQ says, "If for some reason, you still want to use other SIP providers, you are welcome too." I can forgive the bad grammar, because the message sounds great. I download the app, only to find that I need to unlock the SIP (or is it SiP, or Sip? – fring writes it all three ways) functionality, which requires $3 of credit. Then I find through the app I can only buy credit in $10 increments. The fring website for fringOut that supposedly lets me buy credits won’t let me log in; I just get a greyed out screen.
Fring needs to get their act together technically and be much up front and transparent with its pricing to avoid waiting people’s time.
