Too many flaws
This program has gone downhill. The first disappointing change is the move to a subscription model instead of a one-time fee. $10 a year is reasonable but you’d at least expect ads to go away with a subscription. No such luck. Ugly banner ads appear every 5 minutes or so. A bigger problem occurred when I created a chart with 8 chord diagrams, saved it and all was good. But then while I was working on a 9th chord for the chart I changed my mind and clicked Cancel — confirmed that I didn’t want to save changes and then the original files was overwritten with a new in which the original 8 chords were gone and the one I didn’t want to save was the only one in the file! I wish I could downgrade. - the previous version was buggy but not this bad.
Update - the author responded to my complaint about ads and basically said they shouldn’t be there. But, alas, they are.
I don’t get it.
Think I paid for this app to acquire it a while ago. Made a lot of charts. Endured the presence of ads for a long time. Now, today, out of the blue. The app says that after three charts I have to subscribe in order to make a new chart. This was not stated in the description of the product. I don’t mind subscriptions in which the developer is going to provide me with additional content. But this is just extortion.
This app is okay for what it is. But since I just need a convenient way to create graphics (I know the names of chords I want to diagram), I’m going to remove it from my devices and use a graphics program instead. It will be slightly less convenient, but at least I won’t be being forced into a subscription.
I've been searching for this for a long time. It allows me to enter chords and fingerings and then allows you to choose the spelling of the chord from a drop down menu. The only reason I did not give it five stars is the pricing. It is a subscription plan, which I do not like. Oh well, it does do everything I want it to do.
