What's New in Version 7.0.15590

The Tavern’s never been more rough and tumble! This Hearthstone update paves the way for the arrival of The Mean Streets of Gadgetzan, Hearthstone’s latest expansion. Join three crime families as they vie for power in the back alleys of Gadgetzan with all-new Tri-Class cards, and a gritty game board featuring each of the city’s districts. This update also adds several swanky new card backs and fixes some bugs.

Read on for details!

The Mean Streets of Gadgetzan

**132 all-new cards.
**Tri-Class cards - special neutral minions that break the rules to be included in the decks of all three classes associated with each family:
**The Grimy Goons: Warrior, Paladin, and Hunter
**The Kabal: Mage, Priest, and Warlock
**The Jade Lotus: Rogue, Druid, and Shaman
**A new game board featuring each district of Gadgetzan that’ll have you calling your friends to come out to play.
*The following card backs have been added.
**Jade Lotus – Acquired by achieving Rank 20 in Ranked Play, December 2016.
**Grimy Goons – Acquired by achieving Rank 20 in Ranked Play, January 2017.

*Several cards now properly generate a history tile when played.
*We’ve implemented numerous AI improvements and bug fixes.
*We fixed a client issue that could occur when playing multiple spells while Archmage Antonidas is in play.

Great game - some gripes though

Overall this is an excellent strategy game. It has all the elements of a classic trading card game, like M:TG, but with the benefit of being optimized for mobile and other digital platforms. I started playing in the beginning, when it was first released, have taken some breaks over the years, but still come back to this game after searching the App Store for anything even partly as interesting. If you take your time to learn the cards and develop your deck design skills, you will be greatly rewarded. On the other hand, there are some problems with the way Blizzard has decided to structure the release of new cards. The "solo adventures" are overpriced and are the only way to obtain certain cards in the game. The "standard" vs "wild" is ridiculous and should be eliminated altogether. All cards that exist should all be made available to use in any deck and should be available to earn or craft, without the purchase of solo adventures. The newest card release is unbalanced and provides too much power to the Druid class, which makes gameplay very boring. You constantly run into the same Jade Golem combination and it gets very old, very quickly. Also the C'Thun mechanic is too exclusive of other cards and does not advance the other aspects of the game. More thoughtful card releases, research and development, and less exclusionary expansions would make this game a true classic and all time best in the App Store, but for now it's only 4 stars.

Fun Game

I really enjoy this game. It's very fun, addictive and enjoyable. Although at times it may be frustrating, it's still a very fun game. The app offers micro transactions for packs to receive in game cards to use in decks used like to build. Considering it's free to play and Blizzard needs to make money.. it's understandable.. however it brings up the constant complaint of RNG and pay to win.. first of.. to progress in the game without spending money, you can play ranked.. climb the ranked ladder.. receive a chest at the end of the season to get in game items. Along the way you can complete quests that give you 40 gold where you can use the gold to buy packs. Upon opening them, you have a chance to receive a rare, epic, or legend, that may be used in decks of your choice or could be discarded for dust which can craft other cards of your choice. There is a complaint where people say the luck of getting a legendary or even an epic is terrible.. especially when they drop $50 on packs and feel as if they're entitled to a legendary. The same people like that who complain.. complain about pay to win.. which that's pay to win.. so to be fair .. I'd say it's as balanced as it should be.

Nonetheless it's a fun game (:

Crashes Too Much To Enjoy

I download this, played the ridiculously long tutorial, sat through all of long and UN-SKIPPABLE animations, and when I was finally done with the near hour that took, I was allowed to create an account....or so I thought. As soon as I tried, it made it to the screen that had saloon doors, and it crashed. I tried closing the app all the way, and when I reopened it, it crashed again. I closed out the app, and did a hard reset on my phone. Once it rebooted, I tried to open it, and again, it crashed! So, I had no choice, I decided that maybe if I deleted the app and reinstalled it, that would take care of it. So, that's what I did. And of course it deleted all the progress I had made, forcing me to start that stupidly log tutorial all over again. But I did it, hoping that the payoff would be worth it. Boy was I wrong. I made it to those saloon doors once again, never being able to see what's on the other side.

(A note to all who are reading this, I'm trying to play this on an iPhone 7 with the latest (as of the time of me posting this) iOS 10.2 update, with over 100 gigs of available storage. So, I know it's NOT my phone.)
