Heya in 2 words: peer-to-peer geocaching. A new mean of communicating through real geo-localized places in which there is something to find. From there on a chat may begin with anyone else who has been at the place.
Too many eggs? Clustering to the rescue. Now eggs in the same visual location are grouped together. Tap on a group (we like to call these nests) and the map zooms in showing you where each egg is located. Yeah!
Other changes include:
- spell checking + auto correction for hint text view
- haptic feedback on key actions
- some cosmetic UX improvements
- the usual bug fixing

Neat Idea and definitely original in the aspect of it. Not many know about this app just yet, so eggs tend to be far and wide unless you live downtown of a major city. Does have the potential for marketing where you go, which is neat but can also get annoying. I want to find secrets and interesting tidbits, not advertisements - which, to the creators defense, they did not create. One bad egg (excuse the logo pun) can ruin it for some.
Thank you for the interest, we very much appreciate it 🙏 Concerning the possibility of getting a « bad » egg, this could happen especially when the eggs are public. In a next version, we’ll ship « hidden eggs » i.e. the locations of these eggs will only be visible between you and your friends.
Sign up with FB is a non-starter
You have to sign up using Facebook’s account kit that uses your cell phone number to track your location.
Use another method. Facebook is horribly evil.
The app uses FB Account Kit for authentification just like many other apps. It’s not possible to track user’s location with a phone number. Instead, we ask for permission to track your location (via GPS and WiFi) while using the app. This is so that we can place your egg on the map.
