I love you Hipstamatic! I don't even mind the new 99¢ packs-- in fact, I love it when they come out-- I eagerly wait for them!!! Pics are fun to shoot and results are always a fun surprise. I miss that about analog photography.
But, as a long time Hipstamatic user-- I've been here since the beginning--my camera bag is quite full. I'd love a different way to choose lenses and film rather than scrolling. It takes too long when you own everything!!! Maybe if the film/lenses were laid out so you could see them all at the same time and pick the one you want? Just a thought. In the beginning when I only had a handful of lenses and film, it was easy to scroll, but now it's too time consuming. I'd love to be able to go to a screen to pick my film, and maybe another to pick my lens. One at a time is tedious.
Otherwise, keep up the good work! I love the lenses and the film (the cases... meh.) And those who speak about "investing" their 99¢ just makes me snort coffee out my nose. Too funny. You deliver a great product for a reasonable price (don't go jacking it up to $1.99 now!) and I enjoy using it!!!
Fun photos, but getting expensive
Got the app for a photo project and have since invested so much that it's a second thought to switch to something different. My complaint is the constant in-app offers besides the films and lenses; Swankolab, which I bought early on. I don't like it. Occasionally offer paks as try then buy. There are definitely some I regret investing in because they are seldom used, but I don't know it until I have had a couple days to play with it. Buyer beware, I know. It is still my go-to app for cool and fun photos and I do enjoy it so 4 stars. Beware about the in-app purchases, especially those that are not paks, just marketing for trigger happy folks like me.
Favorite Camera App
I started using the Hipstamatic Camera App not long after it's release. I love this app! This camera resembles what I used as a child. I enjoy the different looks I can achieve by mixing different films and flashes. One of my favorite features is the random combination of films/flashes I get when I shake the phone. I also like the favorites button which allows me to save my favorite settings and then be able to view the effects the combo give, as well as quickly change all settings to the saved favorite. I look forward to new films being released.
