Editors’ Notes

While Hitman GO carved out a bold new direction for Agent 47, his next iOS mission expertly captures the riveting gameplay of the venerable console series. You won’t be donning disguises to sneak into enemy compounds (the game’s all about sniping), but you still carefully scout each location, unravel the intricately woven level design, and then strike with impeccable timing—or die and try again. Hitman: Sniper does its legacy proud with 150 missions full of engrossing action and the series’ quirky sense of humor.

Fun at first but gets old fast!

When I first saw this game I was so hyped because I am a huge fan of the Hitman franchise. But however, when I first started playing, sure, it was fun, but it through me off because I assumed as most games do when you pass a level you move on to new scenery; but no, not in this game. Sure, there are new objectives for every mission but it’s gets old because you play the same location every time. You start memorizing where all the most valuable points are located and I’ve even found myself starting every mission the same way as all beforehand because I’ve memorized where all the most valuable points are located. It seriously needs to be overhauled and have each mission in a new location with different people because I’m sure I’ve killed the same people a few hundred times now. I mean, how many times can Markus Krug and Basia Romanowski really die?! I know they say “cats have 9 lives” but last time I checked, humans only have 1! It’s not realistic at ALL!! I’m only giving it 3 stars because it is something to play when you are bored (it kills time fast).

An absolutely brilliant (if comically morbid and tongue-in-cheek) game!

From the opening credits to Agent 47’s icy breath control this game is visually and sonically stunning. It is absolutely gorgeous! No matter what you purchase, you will never be disappointed. The developers actually maintain this game on a super regular and enriching basis. Unheard of except for the most elite and caring of game makers. I myself am a fan of the original Montenegro map, and play it over and over (many times offline in airplanes). But as a bonus, if you are into the zombie craze there is an equally parallel stunning experience waiting for you, all included. Apart from one WW2 flying sim (the developers of which I have a love/hate regard at times), Hitman Sniper is always resident on my iOS devices, I play Montenegro with great guilty pleasure, and my experience with these developers has been all love for Montréal Square Enix. What they have done and continue to do is like Christmas in July. You must try this extremely clever game.
