HORN is a 3rd person action adventure game - a completely unique experience where anyone can fully explore and enjoy a beautiful and engaging console-style world, all controllable by touch gestures.

You play as a young blacksmith's apprentice named Horn who wakes up to find your village and lands over run by large fantastic, and sometimes humorous, monsters. It is revealed these creatures are actually the people and animals from your village transformed by a curse, and you alone have the power to free them. On your incredible adventure you carry the loud-mouthed head of one such fantastic creature with you - a somewhat uncooperative and ill-tempered but grudgingly helpful sidekick. Along with this new companion you must use your sword, crossbow, trusty musical horn, and wits to explore the lands, defeat the enemies, and solve puzzles in your quest to undo the curse that engulfs your homeland.

Horn features:
∗ Accessible controls that anyone can use- walking, jumping, crawling, even grapple hook, are all performed with intuitive gestures
∗ Freely navigable console-quality detailed world- go wherever you want; not confined to limited path or rail
∗ A rich and unique fantasy world
∗ Touch-friendly melee combat and crossbow style weapons
∗ 3 unique and beautiful lands to discover
∗ Endlessly escalating challenge modes
∗ Hidden side content to discover
∗ Score written by award winning Austin Wintory and performed with full live orchestral

Bug Report

I just wrote a very detailed bug report and review, but Apple deleted it so I'll just jump right to it.
In the level "The Armory: No Blade Sharper", if you pull any of the levers before fighting the second Pygon, when you do engage the Pygon the camera will be facing away from the battle. You won't be able to move or turn the camera, but the Pygon will start hitting you. After a second or two, Horn will glitch through the floor and fall below the map, and you'll get the usual "You were defeated" message. This bug does not occur if you fight the Pygon BEFORE activating the levers.
I also noticed a minor graphical glitch in this same level. In the second-to-last tunnel, in the back corner to the player's right, there's a sun-glint, despite there being no sky access in the tunnel. This isn't a big deal, but if the developers want a perfectly polished game they'll want to fix this.
The dodge controls are also very unresponsive. They work maybe 50% of the time, but probably even less than that. Please tweak the dodge controls' responsiveness.
I haven't finished the game, but I thought I'd report these bugs. I hope the developers still read the reviews because the falling-through-the-floor glitch has got to go. Thanks for reading.

Honestly this is a great game. It has an amazing story and very likable characters and it doesn't get boring. I can't put it down. That being said, there are some major problems that are kind of ruining it for me. The worst one is lagging. It never used to happen but all of a sudden it's just started lagging so badly and I had to use up like 3 bombs and a potion to beat a super easy pygon which sucked. I couldn't dodge or hit at all because it only registered like 10% of my commands. Also, the pygons get progressively harder to beat and that is totally understandable and actually makes it more fun but not to the point where it eventually takes me like two weeks to get past one and I have to keep restarting quests so I can find cores and buy a ton of potions. It just gets tiring. And I can't upgrade or buy new weapons because I have all this pygite I don't use but barely any cores. Maybe work on that. I think that's it. If these things were fixed I'd happily change this to 5 stars. I really love this game, it is truly one of my favorites and I don't want to stop playing it or delete it so please please please try to fix these things. You've done some great work here!

This game seems to be a combination of all of my favorite parts of all my favorite games. The story of Bastion, narrative of Portal 2, gameplay of Infinity Blade, and a little bit of Legend of Zelda thrown in with a great cartoony environment. The enemies are both adorable and threatening and fun to fight. I'm really loving playing on and on.

I only have a few problems with it. One is rather minor: it would be nice to have a joystick movement option, as the point-and-click gameplay is often annoying. There's also the problem that other have mentioned that most of the time, Horn doesn't dodge right as you tell him too, often resulting in serious damage taken. I have also gotten lost in quite a few areas when I miss a well-hidden path and end up wandering up and down the area trying to find where to go next for a while.

Other than that, amazing game I would recommend to anyone!
