The developer listens to users!
I am a huge proponent of free OTA television.
I had downloaded the TV Guide app as well. It got deleted within days as useless.
As a programing guide for tv viewing, nothing comes close to iTv in terms of accuracy, or content detail. I don't think that the developer intended this app for streaming video, it's for planning your viewing without having to switch to the guide channel, or fiddling with paper listings.
After using this app for a few weeks, I reported to the developer (politely and respectfuly) how my goegraphic location gave me reception from at least 3 metro OTA areas, Lansing, Flint and Detroit. A few months later (today) an update includes my viewing area specificly listed (Howell, MI) and I'll be darned if it didn't have exactly the channels I can receive!
Great app guys!
We need more developers like you!!!!
Have moved to Kentucky, but still use iTV for my TV listings.
ITV REVIEW From CA
I do like having iTV to find and review shows. I could not give it a 5 because there are frequent times when the TV program listings are a blank screen. It shows the station and time listings, but no listing of the programs. I thought that it might take a minute or so for them to appear, but even after five minutes they do not. I would say this occurs at least one third of the time. I usually wait until a later time to try again. It would be nice for it to consistently work properly. I would recommend this app to a friend if this problem was corrected.
I have to now correct the above. I am sure I would enjoy the app if it ever worked. I can truthfully say it does not work 9 out of 10 times. The TV listings are almost never available on the screen. I would not recommend this app to anyone. Very disappointed.
Notifications not Reliable
Since Charter forced us to use cable boxes to watch Digital TV, the lineup channels are are all over the map. I.TV has the roadmap to navigate the channel lineup, which put the Charter APP to shame.
There is a bug in notifications however. I have found certain programs added to favorites and alerts, don't alert on certain programs. On Friday morning Heavy Metal is on History Channel, but no notification pops up. If I forget, I will miss the program. It seems notification set on programs that appear on more than one network, notifications may not work.
I would like to see an enhancement where I can scroll back in time to learn the title of a program that aired the previous day. As it exist, you can only view current or futures schedules.
Fix the bugs and it's a 5⭐ rating.
