Grab for Dropbox - shared link downloader for photos and videos
By Timothy Carr
This app is only available on the App Store for iOS devices.
This app downloads all the photos and videos from a Dropbox link or shared folder. You can either paste in a link without signing into Dropbox, or sign-in and pick a shared folder. Photos are added to your camera roll: after the download is complete, you open the Apple Photos app to see your photos & videos there.
Did you receive a Dropbox link from a friend who was with you at some awesome event, and now you want to quickly download all the photos & videos to your device? Then this is exactly the app for you.
Do you want to make one of your Dropbox folders of photos & videos available offline, so you can view them in the Apple Photos app? Then this is exactly the app for you.
This app can download in the background so that you can use other apps while you wait for your downloads to finish, even if the download is so big that it takes a long time to complete. Please note that at this time, only photos & videos are supported.
What's New in Version 1.0.3
Only the whole shebang
I just tried this out and promptly deleted it.
It only finds the total collection of photos and videos in a given Dropbox account and lets you select all or none of those two categories. This does NOT allow you to drill down to a specific folder or select individual--let alone groups of--photos/videos.
For my purposes Photo Transfer App is far more suitable. I guess it's a case of "you get what you pay for."
