dDNS Broker is the ultimate dynamic DNS update client for Mac.

dDNS Broker (formally known as IP Monitor) works with about 50 popular DDNS service providers, and can monitor public IPv4 and IPv6 address changes across multiple network interfaces. Since dDNS Broker can distinguish between separate networks, it works without interruption should your server ever be on the move, either physically or virtually. Also, dDNS Broker always detects your IPv4 address accurately - even when your system is behind a transparent proxy.

From the straightforward slider switch to the color-coded tables listing active networks and their preferences, dDNS Broker’s user interface was built for intuitive usage. The user interface’s dialog dynamically adapts to each service provider’s features and terminology, while info buttons provide guidance at each step. And, if something doesn’t go as expected, simply consult the service provider-specific diagnostic report offered with each query and update attempt. Meanwhile, sensitive information, like passwords, are saved only in your system’s keychain.

Upon each login, dDNS Broker will start running in the background, only alerting you, should you choose, to IP address changes, dynamic DNS record updates, and changes in active network interfaces—out of sight, but always keeping you up to date.

Supported dynamic DNS providers: All-inkl, ChangeIP, CityNetwork, CloudFlare, ClouDNS, DNS-O-Matic, DNS2Go, DNSEver, DNSExit, DNShome, DNSMadeEasy, DNSPark, DNSZi, DreamHost, DtDNS, DuckDNS, duiaDNS, DynDNS,, DYNU, Dynv6, EasyDNS, EntryDNS,, GoDaddy, Google Domains, Hurricane Electric, INWX, Joker, Loopia, MyDNS, MyOnlinePortal, NameCheap, No-IP, Now-DNS, Now-IP, OpenDNS, OVH, Pair Domains, RimuHosting, selfHOST, Sitelutions, Strato, TwoDNS, XpertDNS, ZoneEdit, and Zonomi.

Works great, easy to use

Inexpensive, works great, saved me doing a bunch of script customization, and works better! Keep up the good work! And thank you

Good for trying out various DDNS servers and configurations

Ultimately I've put my DDNS configuration into my router, hence won't be using dDNS Broker any more. However, dDNS Broker was quite useful for an initial exploratory phase. Its polished interface made it easy to try out a bunch of different DDNS configurations to figure out what would work and what wouldn't.

dDNS Broker's main limitation is that it won't start running as a daemon when the computer boots. Were it not for that, I probably would have continued using it rather than putting the configuration into my router.

Developer Response

dDNS Broker was originally designed to start on system boot, more specifically it was designed as a preference pane application. Some UI elements were actually modeled after other preference pane applications - like sliding ON/OFF switch of the Time Machine at the time.

However, prior to the initial release of the app, Apple introduced the "App Sandbox" concept and required all App Store applications to adopt it. The capabilities of sandboxed applications are significantly constrained. They can't be preference pane applications, nor any other form of daemons. Instead, dDNS Broker optionally auto-launches at login.

As stated in the FAQs section of our web site, we will be more than happy to develop a preference pane variant of this application - if there is sufficient demand.

Great product

The app works just as I hoped, with an easy to use interface and strong reliability / stability. Most recent updates further improve the product. Would highly recommend this product.
