I was given a gift card for UberEats OVER TWO MONTHS AGO. I tried to use it then I got the message that I couldn’t so I had to update my cards. I had previously placed an order with the same card and no issues. I was then kicked out of the app and when I tried to sign back in I was told that my account was disabled and I had to chat with the Uber customer service. I couldn’t call and I had to use the email thingie. I finally got a response saying that it was an error. My card and account would be good to go. So again I tried it and my gift card balance wasn’t there. So then I emailed them again, they said they fixed the issue. When I tried to log back into the app it said my account (AGAIN) was disabled. So I emailed them again. They supposedly fixed it and I tried to place an order with the gift card and it said couldn’t verify payment profile. I was kicked out of the app and when I tried to log in, it said my account was disabled.
I did all the troubleshooting steps the RUDE people gave me and nothing worked. I couldn’t even USE my legitimate card. Finally after a few days of going back and forth I just asked if the person could get a refund since I wasn’t able to use. The person that gave it to me and I both asked, they told us that they don’t issue refunds for gift cards.
It’s been over 2 months and nothing has changed. My friend was conned out of $50+ by Uber and they will not NOTHING to fix it.
DON’T BOTHER WITH THEM!!
An order was accidentally placed so I called within seconds to cancel. On the app/help it tells you where to go to cancel. Conveniently, there’s no tab, no button in the app to cancel so there’s an 800 number to cancel. I called and get someone right away. I would to cancel my order. Placed on hold, meanwhile on the app it says we’ve received ur order...still on hold a few more mins. The person comes back that can nearly speak English properly that unfortunately my order can’t be cancelled. He says ur food is on its way! ...so you mean to tell me within secs it’s out for delivery?! I said I would like to me speak to a mgr. This guy is asking me why I want to speak to a mgr. we are yelling at each other back and forth. This IS NOT professional at all. He puts me on hold again conveniently he’s not available and will call back in 20-30 mins. I’m still waiting for a phone. So while I was on hold the order is still being processed.
This is not the first order where I had a problem. UberEATS is horrible and not professional at all. BEWARE. I’LL GIVE AN UPDATED IF ANYTHING ELSE HAPPENS FROM THIS ORDER
UBER EATS DOES WHAT ITS MEANT TO DO
Okay so this app does what it's supposed to do, enable you to order food so you don't have to use man power to get it. If you want piping hot food, go to the restaurant to eat. If you want the ability to have the driver come back, exchange, come back and exchange if you don't like it, then go be the customer from he** at a restaurant. I've used this app and I've had minor issues (food being over cooked, undercooked, etc) that occur even when I'm dining AT THE ACTUAL LOCATIONS. That's the thing about not actually going somewhere, is that there is not a waiter, and your DRIVER IS NOT A WAITER AND WORKS FOR UBER NOT THE RESTAURANT. That's the difference, which u know before downloading. And the tip comes AFTER the order so if ur driver takes forever, you don't have to tip them. Honestly this app does what it's supposed to do for me and what it's intended for. I highly recommend on days ur lazy but still crave your fav place.
