Join Trainers across the globe who are discovering Pokémon as they explore the world around them. The newest update to Pokémon GO, the global gaming sensation that has been downloaded over 750 million times and named “Best Mobile Game” by The Game Developers Choice Awards and “Best App of the Year” by TechCrunch, introduced a revamped Gym gameplay experience, including the opportunity to join together with others to battle against powerful Pokémon in the new Raid Battle feature!
Venusaur, Charizard, Blastoise, Pikachu, and many other Pokémon have been discovered!
Now’s your chance to discover and capture the Pokémon all around you—so get your shoes on, step outside, and explore the world. You’ll join one of three teams and battle for the ownership of Gyms with your Pokémon at your side.
Pokémon are out there, and you need to find them. As you walk around a neighborhood, your smartphone will vibrate when there’s a Pokémon nearby. Take aim and throw a Poké Ball… You’ll have to stay alert, or it might get away!
Search far and wide for Pokémon and items
Certain Pokémon appear near their native environment—look for Water-type Pokémon by lakes and oceans. Visit PokéStops and Gyms—found at interesting places like museums, art installations, historical markers, and monuments—to stock up on Poké Balls and helpful items.
Catching, hatching, evolving, and more
As you level up, you’ll be able to catch more-powerful Pokémon to complete your Pokédex. You can add to your collection by hatching Pokémon Eggs based on the distances you walk. Help your Pokémon evolve by catching many of the same kind. Choose a Buddy Pokémon to walk with and earn Candy that will help you make your Pokémon stronger.
Take on Gym battles and defend your Gym
As your Charmander evolves to Charmeleon and then Charizard, you can battle together to defeat a Gym and assign your Pokémon to defend it against all comers. You can also participate in Raid Battles at Gyms around the world. A Raid Battle is a cooperative gameplay experience that encourages you to work with up to 20 other Trainers to defeat an extremely powerful Pokémon known as the Raid Boss. If you succeed in defeating it in battle, you’ll have the chance to catch an extra powerful Pokémon of your own!
It’s time to get moving—your real-life adventures await!

What's New in Version 1.49.4
Loved it, has gone down hill. Please fix!
I have really enjoyed Pokémon Go over the last year and a half. It has brought me closer to people I never knew lived around me. However over the last couple months I’ve grown very discontent along with my fellow players. Naturally I like in a rural area with towns of a few thousand as our biggest areas. Finding groups to do legendary raids is quite stressful. We can sometimes work with it however the major issue I have is the Mewtwo raids/EX raid battle system. Even when we do raid it has not been enough to get a EX raid pass. I feel the opportunity should be at least available to all players regardless of the area they live in. I raid every single day and have never received an EX raid pass. If you raid every single day I think that should allow you at least the chance at one. Furthermore, now with daylight savings time it seems raids end at around 5pm. I will never understand how Niantic thinks it’s possible for the working person to accomplish a raid while they are at work. There should be nice time raids at gyms that are not parks which obviously close at a certain time. I almost only play at night anymore because it has become a waste of time to attempt to raid during the day. If Niantic would fix these two issues; they would regain so many lost players in rural areas. Thank you.
I gave it another go.
I was very upset when raids came out and it would take my extra coins and not let me finish the raid, not to mention I couldn't get through a full gym line up without it kicking me out of the battle. So many times I errored out and my team could finish so they did and I couldn't beat it alone. The bug looked like it was finally fixed so I gave it another go. The last two days alone I've had 4 raid passes go to waste. I'm furious. I gave it a second shot and I am done. So done. Congrats, you made money off me but never again will I spend one cent on this game. All together that's 800 coins I didn't get anything from that I'll never see again. Not okay. Terrible standard. I can understand glitches, but if it kicks you out mid raid, it should at the very least refund your pass. I am beyond angry. Glad I can at least battle in gyms without kicking me to the curb but I want to raid and that just isn't an option.
Update: newest update with only 45 mins to raid is ridiculous. I’m calling it quits. I do not understand the change and I don’t see any benefits for Players or the company. Is the update because there was too many happy people? Were too many people not angry enough?
I am also FURIOUS that because of daylight savings I can’t raid past 8 pm. That is the biggest let down so far. I get off work at 7:30 and that gives me 30 mins to raid if I can even find any.
Niantic, do you even care anymore? I loved this game but now it’s just too inconvenient.
Pokemon go is great
I love the game it's free fun for family's that want to have fun together or people having fun with friends raids are great I had my first one on Saturday in was a bayleaf what I like about the game now is that you can get legendarys and I'm a low level player (21) so I couldn't defeat or defend gyms so I was left behind but then they added the new gym system and I cloud take down gyms. And I have 12 gym badges they added gyms and poke stops every where even though I live on the suburban area not the urban areas great game😁😀🙂
Update I'm level 22 now currently have two Pokémon at gyms you really should play if you're going on vacation because I caught tons of new Pokémon because I went to the Rocky Mountains and there were mankeys and geodudes and sandsrew and fire types witch are not common where I live I get bugs and water and grass pokemon not rock or fighting now I have 24 gym badges 😀
What this game needs is a comm like Ingress and more events I've asked for pokestops a billion times and they say no so I've started to play Ingress both are good games but Pokémon go needs new stuff I can't wait till hp wizards unite but if you stop supporting your other games and let it die (it's not dead) than I will stop supporting you
I'm level23 now
