Editors’ Notes

There are only two buttons in Pursuit of Light2. Each will either lead you forward or destroy you, depending on when you press it. But when a puzzler is as gorgeous, peaceful, and easy to control as this one is, we don’t mind restarting levels. We’re especially impressed with it on Apple TV. Using the Siri Remote feels fantastic, and the artwork is mesmerizing on the big screen.

I miss the old one..

This game is great—fun to play and astounding like the first, but it has got too much going on. The first one was so simple. It did not want our money, there was no energy level, the graphics were more minimal, and the story was essentially not there...where is that this time? The developer clearly wanted to create a work of art with the first one, and this one seems to try and destroy his/her original idea for the sake of money. If it's money they want, I would not mind a one-time purchase. If it meant removing the energy level and ads for unlocks. The skill tree thing is interesting...but it is not for this game. As I said, this game has too much going on in it. The first one was beautiful and had potential for a sequel of the same sort. This, unfortunately is not that sequel. It's an entirely different game with no purpose other than to take our money. Remove the in-app purchases, energy levels, and everything else that is destroying this art piece and give us a one-time purchase. Then I'll think about rating higher than three stars.

The gameplay is straightforward. 2 action buttons.

The storyline is mediocre, and hints at satanic stuff.

If you want to get through a level, expect to watch an add GUARANTEED-LY after each level, every level.

The description of the powerups are not straightforward.
Max out the time force skillset for easier playing, if that.

The English is broken, and the arrow traps are the WORST part of the entire game.

Additionally- either the game is broken in that either the stars counting system is not connected to the 4th level unlock- or the 4th level has not been released yet- who knows.

The weird little .../map symbol on the right hand side of the map screen brings up a foreign language message board- which would be cool if translated.

The sprites have little effect on gameplay. Subscribing for a different character has no benefit. Stick with the stock characters.

The tree of life can be grown- but why you need to actually do that- unsure.

Not overly impressed with the game.

Would like to play the 4th level to see what the storyline resolve is...
